Key Points

  • RSD 2026 is Saturday, April 18 with over 1,000 stores participating

  • Exclusive releases from Kanye West, Slipknot, Weezer and more will hit stores soon

  • Record Store Day exclusive vinyl can be extremely limited and very lucrative for resellers

The most wonderful day of the year for vinyl resellers is almost here. Record Store Day 2026 takes place this Saturday, and we’ve got one of the juiciest lists of exclusive vinyl and CD releases in years. It’s time to make a list, check it twice, and plan your trip. Every year, resellers take home hundreds or even thousands of dollars in profit by flipping limited edition vinyl, so don’t skip this opportunity.

Record Store Day Explained?

2026 marks the 18th consecutive Record Store Day. What started as a simple celebration for crate diggers and vinyl junkies has ballooned into a global retail event with celebrity ambassadors like Taylor Swift and Bruno Mars. Each year, the “list” is published and fans start seeking out grails for their collections. Every sale is done in person, at a local, independent record store. Not every store will carry everything published on the list, but most will have at least a few exclusive items worth flipping.

There are three kinds of RSD releases: “Exclusive” means the item is only available at indie stores on RSD day and these are typically the most limited type. “RSD First” titles premiere at indie stores but may see wider release afterward. “Small Run/Regional” titles are pressed in lower quantities (usually under 1,000 globally) and distribution may vary by region or even restricted to a handful of stores.

Online sales of leftover inventory are allowed starting the day after RSD, but high-demand titles are gone long before that.

TL;DR, you need to show up early, hit multiple stores, and come prepared. Make a list of vinyl you want to target (or just use ours), set aside plenty of cash, and plan out a route to hit as many stores as early as possible. The best vinyl will sell out early, and your goal should be to load up on whatever you can before it’s too late. RSD has a store locator on their website to help you identify participating shops.

Remember, Record Store Day is closer to a holiday than a neatly orchestrated sale. While RSD (the organization) collates and publishes a list of exclusives and locations, it’s up to the stores themselves to buy and sell the vinyl they choose. That also means the stores are free to set their own return policy. Expect almost all your purchases to be final sale. Not every store will be carrying everything on the list, which is why we’ve prepared a quick, shotgun-style rundown so you’ll know when to grab something.

Also, please note that Record Store Day does not publish MSRPs for the listed records. As each individual store is working with distributors, it’s up to them how they want to price their records. Still, we will provide an estimated MSRP for each item in this guide, but understand that the actual price may be higher or lower.

The No-Brainers

These are the releases you should be lining up for. High demand, limited supply, and broad collector interest make these the clearest profit plays on the 2026 list. Grab them if you see them, no question.

Ye – Bully EP RSD Variant

This is a late addition to the RSD 2026 list. Earlier this week, insiders began reporting that a Record Store Day-exclusive neon green variant version of Ye’s Bully EP would be distributed to stores. It has yet to be officially added to the RSD 2026 list.

Details on this release are limited. According to the Xeet above, an unknown quantity of vinyl is being shipped to stores “randomly.” We strongly recommend picking up a copy if you come across one.

Estimated Price: $30

Look Outside Your Window LP

Look Outside Your Window RSD Vinyl Slipknot

This is the headline release of RSD 2026, and it’s been 18 years in the making. Look Outside Your Window is a side project from four Slipknot members: Corey Taylor, Jim Root, Sid Wilson, and Shawn “Clown” Crahan. The album was recorded during the 2008 sessions for Slipknot’s All Hope Is Gone and has been teased and delayed ever since. Corey Taylor described it as having “more of a Radiohead vibe” than anything in the Slipknot catalog. The pressing features splatter vinyl, a die-cut jacket, and purple foil detailing.

It’s limited to just 2,300 copies, distributed across thousands of record stores nationwide. Even a fraction of Slipknot’s massive fanbase chasing this will overwhelm supply instantly. This is a near-certain sellout in the first 5 minutes at most locations. If you score one, you’re in good shape.

Estimated Price: $50

Weezer – 1192

Weezer 1192 Record Store Day Vinyl

Weezer’s 1192 is another vault-opening story. Founding bassist Matt Sharp discovered a 1-inch multitrack reel from the band’s very first studio session in November 1992 while going through a trove of old master tapes. The album features early takes on future Blue Album staples like “Say It Ain’t So” and “Undone (The Sweater Song),” recorded with the original four-piece lineup including guitarist Jason Cropper. Sharp produced the release and it was mixed fully analog, tape to vinyl, by Joe Chiccarelli.

This is not a reissue. This is music that has never been commercially available on any format. The Weezer fanbase is enormous and deeply nostalgic about the Blue Album era, and this is essentially a window into the sessions that started it all. It’s confirmed at 3,000 copies and listed as “RSD First,” meaning a wider release will follow, but the initial RSD pressing is what collectors will want. Treat it like a high-priority grab.

Estimated Price: $50

Charli XCX – "party 4 u" 7-inch

Charli XCX Party 4 U RSD Vinyl

Charli’s “party 4 u” gets its first-ever vinyl release as an ultra-clear 7-inch with an etched B-side, packaged in a PVC bag. The track has massive cultural staying power and the Brat era fanbase is as passionate as any in pop music right now. The format is a 7-inch single, which means pressing quantities are typically lower than full LPs.

8,000 copies. Not great, not terrible. Charli XCX has a massive, rabid fanbase, and we expect to see these move with healthy margins.

Estimated Price: $30

HAIM – Relationships EP

Haim Relationships Vinyl RSD Exclusive

HAIM’s four-track 12-inch is confirmed at 1,500 copies for the US run. The EP centers around “Relationships,” the lead single from their latest album I quit, and includes “Tie You Down (with Bon Iver)” on vinyl for the first time. HAIM has a devoted collector fanbase, and 1,500 copies is genuinely scarce. This is one of the smallest-run major-label releases on the 2026 list. If you find it, buy it without hesitation.

Estimated Price: $25

doPE – No Country for Old Men

Dope Country Old Men RSD Vinyl

This debut LP from the collab between Public Enemy‘s Chuck D and The Doors‘ drummer John Densmore is limited to 2,000 copies. It was named the RSD 2026 Song of the Year for its lead track “Every Tick Tick Tick.” It’s an unusual combination of artists that bridges hip-hop and classic rock, which gives it crossover collector appeal. Two thousand copies is tight. Worth picking up if you’re near a store carrying it.

Estimated Price: $40

Regional and Limited Run RSD Releases

RSD does not lock releases to specific individual stores. “Small Run/Regional” titles are pressed in lower quantities and distributed with some geographic variation, meaning your local store may or may not receive a copy. A single store might receive only one or two copies of the titles below.

Brandi Carlile – Live At Easy Street Records Vol. II (Seattle): This one is named for a specific location. Carlile recorded this live session at Easy Street Records in Seattle, Washington, celebrating her album Returning To Myself. At 8,000 copies it’s not an ultra-scarce pressing, but if you’re in the Seattle area Easy Street should be your first stop. This is her second live record at the same shop, and the first one has solid collector demand.

Estimated Price: $35

Ray Charles – Live In Concert: The Complete Performance: Confirmed at only 900 US copies. This is the first-ever vinyl release of the complete 75-minute version of his 1965 live album, pressed on tangerine colored vinyl with a collectible lithograph. Nine hundred copies is almost nothing when you’re talking about a Ray Charles album. This is marked as a regional exclusive, but it’s not clear what region. Record stores in Chicago and New York have confirmed they will be selling it. Check the RSD store list for shops carrying limited run titles near you.

Estimated Price: $70

The Cars – Heartbeat City Live: This 2xLP captures the band’s 1984 concert at The Summit in Houston, Texas, previously unreleased in any format, physical or digital. Classic rock live documents from the 1980s with never-before-heard audio have a strong secondary market with older collectors. Worth picking up at any store that has it.

Estimated Price: $60

Tom Petty – July 16, 1978 – Paradise Theater, Boston, MA: Pressed on pink-and-green translucent splatter vinyl with a vintage tour sticky pass included, this makes a long-bootlegged WBCN-FM radio broadcast officially available for the first time. At 8,000 copies it’s not a small run, but Tom Petty collector demand is reliable and the pressing is visually striking. Boston-area stores may see heightened local interest.

Estimated Price: $35

Other RSD Exclusive Vinyl Worth Hunting

These are releases worth grabbing if you happen to be at a store carrying them, but they come with caveats: higher pressing quantities, slower-burning collector markets, or artists with more niche appeal. Don’t go out of your way for these, but don’t walk past them either.

Bruce Springsteen – Live From Asbury Park 2024 (5xLP): A massive career-spanning three-hour concert on five LPs, limited to 12,000 copies worldwide. Springsteen’s collector base is loyal and large, but the price point for a 5xLP set will be significant, which could slow secondary market velocity. Strong collector item, but it may take a few weeks to find its ceiling.

Estimated Price: $100

Paramore – All We Know Is Falling (Deluxe 2xLP): The debut album gets a red double vinyl treatment with a bonus LP containing the first-ever vinyl pressing of the 2006 Summer Tic EP. Paramore’s fanbase has strong vinyl-buying habits and the bonus EP gives collectors something genuinely new. Solid flip, especially at stores near universities.

Estimated Price: $45

Carly Rae Jepsen – “Disco Darling” 7-inch: An unreleased fan-favorite track from her Dedicated sessions finally pressed on baby blue vinyl. CRJ has one of the most dedicated cult collector fanbases in pop music, and unreleased material on a 7-inch is exactly the kind of thing they pay premiums for. Slower burn than the Charli 7-inch, but worth picking up.

Estimated Price: $25

Jeff Buckley – Live À L’Olympia (2xLP): First-ever vinyl release of this live set, capturing two nights in Paris during his 1995 European tour. Buckley’s catalog is small, well-preserved, and deeply cherished. At 16,000 copies it won’t be hard to find on the day, but collector interest is consistent and this type of first vinyl pressing from a beloved artist tends to appreciate over time.

Estimated Price: $45

Ethel Cain – Inbred EP: Limited to 6,500 US copies, this is the first vinyl pressing of her 2021 debut EP. Ethel Cain has earned serious critical acclaim and a fervent fanbase. At 6,500 copies this won’t be as scarce as some others on this list, but her audience is the type that buys vinyl.

Estimated Price: $30

Sleep Token – “Caramel” 12-inch: A liquid-filled 12-inch single. Yes, liquid inside the record. Sleep Token has one of the most rabid fanbases in heavy music right now, and a novelty pressing like this will generate strong secondary demand from completionists. Worth picking up if you find it.

Estimated Price: $45

Madonna – The Confessions Tour Live From London (2xLP): Pressed on starburst pink/purple splatter vinyl, this captures her 2006 Wembley Arena show across 13 tracks. Madonna vinyl has a reliable collector market, and the splatter pressing and tour document format help justify premium pricing on the secondary market.

Estimated Price: $60

Neil Young & the Chrome Hearts – As Time Explodes: Limited to 6,900 US copies on clear vinyl with an exclusive lyric poster. This is the first full live LP credited to Neil Young & The Chrome Hearts, recorded during their 2025 “Love Earth” tour, including stops at Glastonbury and BST Hyde Park. Neil Young’s vinyl sells consistently across collector demographics. Should flip without much trouble.

Estimated Price: $50

RSD 2026 is the Best List in Years

We’ll be direct: after 2025’s relative disappointment, this lineup is looking great.

RSD 2025 was noticeably thinner on the blockbuster releases that drive serious reseller profits. The Wicked vinyl at 2,000 copies was the headliner, and while it did well, the rest of the list didn’t have the same density of high-profile, scarce releases that 2023 and 2024 offered. Resellers who went hard in 2025 generally came out okay on the headline plays, but there weren’t many of them.

Things are looking much, much brighter going into 2026. Many collectors are calling this one of the best lists in years, and the sheer range of records, artists, and genres is a practical guarantee that record stores across the country will be packed with all kinds of collectors. Even if the records we’ve seen announced don’t match your personal music taste, you should be able to recognize that there are quite a few releases that will get people excited.

The main issue we’re seeing is pricing. Many stores are raising prices across the board, especially on RSD exclusives and regional focuses. You may need to set aside a slightly larger bankroll than you were expecting if you want to cop multiple records. Still, we’re pretty confident in this list and believe that resellers can make some serious money after Record Store Day 2026.
