Key Points

  • The GameStop Power Pack 2026 One Piece Platinum Series 1 costs $500 and includes one PSA graded card

  • GameStop guarantees a $200 minimum trade credit for the slab but only for Pro members

    • Each box also includes two random booster packs from popular sets including Japanese language editions

GameStop wants half a grand for a box that is part graded slab, part mystery pack, and part bet on lightning striking twice. The retailer built serious goodwill with collectors on last year’s Power Packs, thanks to novelty pulls and a jackpot trade-in that made headlines. This new One Piece edition leans hard on that reputation, but the math looks a lot different than the packs that made resellers rich in 2025.

GameStop 2026 One Piece Power Pack Details

GameStop launched their Power Pack series in 2024 as an innovative way for collectors to chase new cards. They combined the excitement of ripping sealed packs with the guaranteed value of buying singles by bundling pre-graded and pre-slabbed cards inside each pack.

They were insured with a minimum buy-back guarantee on the slabbed cards, so buyers knew they could at least get some of their money back if they didn’t like what they got. In 2025, they really took off with new promotions offering up to a year’s supply of new Pokemon releases, as well as news breaking that collectors were pulling $30,000 cards from $100 packs.

GameStop has continued to sell the Power Pack series, but the margins have shifted considerably in favor of the company. The latest GameStop Power Pack 2026 One Piece Platinum Series 1 launched in select stores on Saturday, August 29.

Every box guarantees one graded PSA card rated 8 or higher, plus two randomly inserted booster packs from popular sets, including Japanese-language releases. It’s limited to one per customer and inventory varies by location.

2026 GameStop Power Pack One Piece

$500 for a PSA 8+ card and two random boosters really isn’t a very good deal. You have no idea what you’re getting, and GameStop has every incentive here to shovel as much shit into these packs as possible to inflate their margins.

Collectors can stomach paying $150 for a resealed pack as long as there’s a chance to pull something big. The cost of entry has now been tripled, and the potential rewards are simply not worth the risk, at least for resellers.

GameStop's Trade-In Guarantee Sucks Too

GameStop’s $200 minimum trade credit on the graded slab only applies to Pro members, and it expires Saturday, September 12. If you aren’t already Pro, that safety net either doesn’t apply to you or costs an extra $25 on top of your buy-in. Trading cards at GameStop are final sale, and graded cards specifically cannot be returned in store or online, so you’re locked into whatever lands in the box.

Even with the credit, a Pro member is only guaranteed $200 against a $499.99 purchase. The other $300 has to come from the graded card outvaluing the trade offer or the two random boosters landing on something worth chasing. There’s no sold data yet on this exact release since it just hit shelves, so nothing confirms collectors will pay near $500 for a sealed box. That leaves opening it and hoping as the only real path to profit.

If you collect One Piece and want the cards regardless of resale value, that’s a different conversation. For resellers, we cannot recommend purchasing these. You’d be hard-pressed to find a buyer willing to pay more than $500 for a pack, and the fact these are still in stock says quite a bit about the current market sentiment.
