Owala released five Pokemon themed FreeSip water bottles at Target for $30 each
The bottles are already reselling individually for $50 to $60
Complete five bottle bundles have sold for around $300 to collectors chasing every design

Owala teamed up with Pokemon on a Target exclusive FreeSip line tied to the trading card game’s 30th anniversary, and the internet did what it always does with anything wearing a Pikachu print: it bought all of it. Online inventory was gone within hours of launch, and the secondary market lit up almost as fast, with both single bottles and full sets already finding buyers well above sticker price.

Owala X Pokemon Tumbler Collection at Target

The collection is built on Owala’s 16-ounce Stainless Steel FreeSip, the same body style the brand has used for past collabs, wrapped in five Pokemon prints: Pikachu I Choose You, Charizard Brings the Heat, Eevee Evolutions, Gengar In the Shadows, and a Kanto Region First Partners design featuring Bulbasaur, Squirtle, and Charmander.

Every bottle keeps the flip top lid and carry handle Owala is known for, and every one launched exclusively through Target as part of the wider Pokemon Trading Card Game 30th Celebration.

None of that is a coincidence. Owala has built a reputation for turning routine hydration gear into a genuine collector category, and Pokemon has spent thirty years building maybe the most reliable fandom in retail. Put those two audiences together and a sellout was close to guaranteed, the same way past Owala collabs and Pokemon anniversary merchandise have both moved fast on their own.

Owala Pokemon Tumblers Resell

Individual bottles are trading for roughly $50 to $60 on eBay, with Pikachu and Charizard designs pulling the higher end of that range. After platform fees and other expenses, resellers look to net around $15 to $20 from a $55 sale.

Full five bottle sets are where the bigger number lives. Sets have sold for close to $300, against a combined retail cost of $149.95 for all five bottles. That pencils out to upwards of $100 in profit for a sale, and much less hassle than flipping the bottles individually.

Bottom Line

Target has not said whether or when the collection restocks, but the retailer’s Target Circle notify feature suggests more units are coming rather than this being a true one and done release. If a restock lands in the next few weeks, expect resale prices on individual bottles to soften.

This is a decent flip if you can find stock. Checking local Target stores is worth the effort since online sold out almost immediately, but there is no indication these are final sale items or that Target has changed its standard return policy for the collection. That gives buyers some cushion if a design does not move. Individual bottles are fine side money. Full sets are the better play if you can source more than one, but do not expect the secondary market to hold at $300 forever once Target restocks.
