Signed “Short n’ Sweet” vinyl records dropped for $33
Customers were limited to four records
Resellers are flipping them for $80 or more
There’s nothing like a good vinyl flip to tp start your weekend off right. Earlier this week, popstar Sabrina Carpenter dropped signed (and stamped) vinyl versions of her recent album “Short n’ Sweet”. Fans were able to pick these up for a limited time, and everything sold out fast. After just a few days, we’ve seen a ton of sales for these on eBay. Resellers were able to double, even triple their money on each vinyl, and a generous quantity limit meant this was a seriously profitable opportunity.
If you’re not familiar with the game, reselling vinyl is a great way to cash in on these artists’ fans. While they like to make impassioned Twitter threads about how much they hate scalpers, they never seem to have an issue paying us for the vinyl they want.
Sometimes it feels like there’s just too many young female popstars to go around. In the last few months we’ve covered releases from Chappell Roan, Olivia Rodrigo, Charli XCX, and of course, Ms. Taylor Swift.
And today we’ll be talking about Sabrina Carpenter. Born in 1999, this singer-songwriter has quickly racked up fame, money, and platinum singles in between an acting career. Her next album, “Short n’ Sweet” is set to release next month, and you might’ve already heard its lead single.
Wow, it sounds like pretty much every pop anthem from the last decade! Clearly, Carpenter has her art dialed in, and her fans are loving it.
Ahead of the album’s full release, Sabrina Carpenter recently sold signed vinyl versions of “Short n’ Sweet“. These include a deep blue vinyl record along with the album’s standard art. A small poster of Carpenter is included, and it looks like this is what she’s actually signing.
These are also stamped. We’re not sure why, or what the stamp is. Sabrina Carpenter first sold signed “Short n’ Sweet” vinyl back in June. This week’s restock sold out pretty fast, and it’s possible another will drop before the album does.
Sabrina Carpenter signed “Short n’ Sweet” vinyl were $33. Customers were able to buy up to four while they were in stock, and only U.S. customers were able to buy this drop.
We’ve been keeping an eye on these vinyl record since they originally dropped. The hype around Carpenter has been very strong lately, and we had a good feeling about their potential resale value.
And we were right! As of this week, Sabrina Carpenter signed “Short n’ Sweet” vinyl records are reselling for about $80. We’ve recorded about 150 total sales through eBay since June.
At $33 per and a limit of four per customer, resellers were able to make between $150 and $200 from flipping these vinyl alone. Considering how fast these resell and how easy they were to buy, this is a flip everybody should be taking advantage of.
Keep an eye on Carpenter’s socials in the next few weeks. It’s possible we’ll see a third and final signed “Short n’ Sweet” vinyl drop in August, probably just before the album drops. If that happens, don’t hesitate to buy.
