BTS star Suga’s D-Day Tour included a special guitar pick as merchandise
Five different picks were produced for the five tour spots. They sold for $25
Following the final stop of the D-Day tour, these guitar picks now resell for $300 or more
Heard of BTS? The South Korean boy band is sort of a big deal, with devoted fans selling out concerts and tour stops across the world. Several members also have active solo careers, among them the rapper Suga, AKA Agust D. Suga’s D-Day Tour has just wrapped up it’s North American leg, and fans are zeroing in some of the exclusive merch. One example that’s reselling now are the limited edition D-Day tour guitar picks. While these sold on Suga’s tour stops for $25, they are now reselling for much, much more.
With Suga headed off to Asia on May 26th, the US phase of the D-Day Tour is officially over. After selling out several concerts from coast to coast, it’s no doubt been a very lucrative journey for Suga, and an enjoyable one for his fans.
Some of the merch sold during the D-Day Tour is exclusive to the US stops. These include the various hoodies and shirts, but also a collection of guitar picks.
Furthermore, each of the five stops of the tour had a different set of guitar picks, which could only be purchased at that particular location. These are extremely popular, and would sell out at every stop.
Since then, all of the various D-Day picks have started reselling, with fans paying a serious premium for them.
There are five different guitar picks produced for Suga’s D-Day Tour. They include Belmont, Newark, Rosewood, Los Angeles, and Oakland. The designs between the picks are largely the same, with the only the name of the tour stop on the back of the pick being changed.
All of the Suga D-Day Tour guitar picks cost $25. They were sold enclosed in a plastic case, perfect for collectors and resellers.
It didn’t take long for the D-Day tour picks to begin reselling. They typically resell for around $250-$350. Even though there were five variations on the design, none of the different locations resell for more than the others.
It’s likely that the majority of purchases are being made by superfans looking to stock up on the full collection of the D-Day Tour picks. While that could mean paying up to $1,500 for the full set, you might be surprised by the lengths some people will go to have the things they want.
We cover all kinds of merchandise from musicians that resells. If you want to learn more, check out our articles on the recent vinyl releases from Taylor Swift, Fall Out Boy, and Sleep. Vinyl is a great opportunity for resellers, as it tends to be underproduced and in high demand by fans.
