Topps has orders open for Speed trading cards right now
Individual cards are $12 with discounts for larger orders
There are autographed parallels in circulation
Over the weekend, Topps announced a new line of limited edition cards featuring the Twitch streamer IShowSpeed. These commemorate Speed’s appearance during the WWE Royal Rumble event, and include autographed variants. There’s still time left to snag your own IShowSpeed trading card, but the sale will be ending soon. Let’s go over the details and see if these are worth going after.
It’s a big world, and there’s all kinds of things to spend your money on. Video games, Barbies, autographed vinyl, iPhones with TikTok installed on them. We’re not here to pocket watch; in fact we love it when companies come out with weird products.
Which is why we’re happy to report on Topps’ latest collaboration with the Twitch streamer IShowSpeed. After making his debut appearance at WWE’s Royal Rumble (and getting thrown into the announcers’ booth), Speed has confirmed his retirement from future WWE events.
To the surprise of his fans, Topps quickly announced that they had spun up a limited number of cards celebrating Speed’s fifteen minutes of WWE-stardom, which were immediately made available for preorder.
IShowSpeed Topps trading cards are $12 each, and include five different numbered parallels. Additionally, 16 autographed redemptions will be in circulation. Here’s a breakdown of rarities:
Topps has stated that these cards will be printed to demand, but the parallel and autograph numbers are static. So, your chances of getting something unique will go down as more orders are placed.
Good question. These cards are definitely a gimmick, but they could be a profitable gimmick. We’ve covered other limited edition runs from card manufacturers like Leaf and Topps, and a few of them have become legitimate collectibles.
Here’s a quick example: Topps linked with viral phenom “The Rizzler” for a run of autographed cards back in December. These sold out at $30 per card, and we’re seeing some of the rarer parallels flip for anywhere from $40 to $150 on the high end.
Before that, Haliey “Hawk Tuah Girl” Welch worked with Leaf for her first official trading card. All of these were autographed, and they were sold for $100 per card. While these haven’t really flipped for a profit, they’ve managed to more or less hold their value over the last few months.
The verdict? This is a moderate-risk, moderate-reward opportunity. You’re probably not going to pay off your house with one of these cards, but you stand to make some lunch money if they do well on eBay.
Be aware that Topps is not offering refunds or returns for these cards. The sale window closes on February 5, and will be revealing the total print run after that date. All sales are final, so consider this a bit of a gamble. Still, it’s just $12 a card. If you’re an IShowSpeed fan, why not?
In any case, make sure you’re subscribed to our newsletter and stay updated on the latest flips. 2025 is well underway, so make it your year and start reselling today.
