McDonald's Book 2 Sneaker Collab Drops June 2

Booker is a McDonald’s All American alum, so the collab runs deeper than a simple brand deal. Both colorways draw from the Sedona, Arizona McDonald’s — the only location in the world with turquoise arches instead of the standard golden ones, a nod to local preservation rules protecting the natural red rock scenery.

The general release is a white shoe with turquoise accents and McDonald’s branding throughout. The Friends and Family variant takes it further: an all-turquoise colorway limited to just 50 pairs, available only through the sweepstakes. Both retail at $155.

We’ve covered the Book 2 line since the “Rising” launch in January, but the initial pairs have been a little disappointing on StockX. We’re hoping this limited edition collab and the McDonald’s branding will help raise this release’s profile.

The all-turquoise Friends and Family pairs are where this gets interesting for resellers. Between May 22 and May 28, customers can enter through the McDonald’s app by purchasing one of six new specialty drinks. Entries are limited to one per customer per day, and winners will be notified by June 1. You can view the giveaway’s full T&C here.

Some of those pairs will almost certainly surface on the secondary market immediately, and because they’re a distinct colorway from the general release, they should command a meaningful premium over the white version.

That also makes them a useful market signal. If the F&F pairs are fetching strong premiums on June 1, that’s a good sign for the general release the next day. If they’re sitting, temper your expectations accordingly.

For the June 2 SNKRS drop: expect the typical chaos. Nike has also hinted at a limited pop-up event ahead of launch, with details to be announced on McDonald’s, Booker, and Nike social channels. A flip above $300 on the white colorway is realistic if the hype holds, which would put profit around $108 after StockX’s fees on a $300 sale.
