Hawk Tuah girl Haliey Welch just released her official trading cards
1,000 cards were printed for $100
Everything was signed and includes rare parallels
Are you 16 years old, or just act like you are? Well, we’ve got something that you might really like. Haliey Welch AKA the Hawk Tuah Girl teamed up with trading card manufacturer Leaf for a run of unforgettable cards. Fans of blowjobs and shitty internet memes were able to take home an official Hawk Tuah collectable trading cards signed by Welch herself. Now resellers are watching from the sidelines to see if these cards will resell.
2024 has been a big year for coworker memes. In between AI-generated videos of Hanna Barbera characters swearing and obviously staged interviews that go ultra-viral, one meme stood erect and towering over the others.
We’re talking, of course, about Hawk Tuah. We don’t really need (or want) to get into why people think this clip is so damn funny, but you’ve probably heard people referencing it for no real reason.
It’s a video of a college-aged girl making a joke about spitting on a dick. Somehow this is notable enough to achieve worldwide attention, and certainly enough for us to write about.
The Hawk Tuah girl, born Haliey Welch, has managed to parlay her fifteen minutes into an incredible fifteen days; hosting podcasts, making appearances, and recording music about giving head a la Riley Reid.
Good for her. Earlier this week, Welch linked with trading card company Leaf to produce an official line of Hawk Tuah trading cards. Fans were able to buy cards for $100 at a time, all of which were autographed by Haliey Welch.
Additionally, Welch has written several different phrases on cards like “I ❤ pookie”. Hawk Tuah fans will have all sorts of fun collecting and comparing them alongside rare red and green ink parallels.
What more could you ask for? Just $100 for the signature of a flyover state meme girl is one sweetheart of a deal. Apparently there are a lot of people who agree, because these cards sold out (or were pulled from sale) in under 24 hours.
Is a quick sell out enough to make these flip? Hmm, not quite yet. As of this article’s publication, we haven’t recorded any aftermarket sales for Haliey Welch autographed Hawk Tuah cards.
But don’t get too bummed out just yet. In the weeks since her viral fame, there’s actually been a fair amount of Hawk Tuah girl merch reselling on eBay. Yeah, most of it is Alibaba slop, but it’s worth noting that there have been a fair number of sales for custom made Hawk Tuah trading cards.
So if there are people out there already buying unofficial cards, surely they’re shell out for the official, autographed versions, right? Maybe, maybe not. Remember, these were $100 for just one card.
Viral memes aren’t exactly known for their sticking power, but Welch is doing better than most in her person. She allegedly bagged a $30,000 appearance fee for showing up at a casino, at least according to TMZ.
All we really have to say is “good for her”. Everyone deserves to make stupid money for no real reason; after all, why else would we be resellers?
