The Barbie Pink Pineapple Cup retailed for $10.99 at participating Dunkin’ locations and included a free medium drink
Cups are sold out at most locations and are currently appearing on eBay for around $30
Supply was extremely limited, with some stores reportedly receiving as few as 20 units
If your morning coffee run came with an unexpected flip opportunity today, you weren’t imagining things. Dunkin’ and Barbie teamed up on a pineapple-shaped collectible cup that sold out at most locations within hours of dropping, and it’s already showing up on eBay for nearly three times what it cost at the counter. Not a life-changing payday, but a clean $15 or so for anyone who grabbed one while grabbing their iced coffee anyway.
The Barbie Pink Pineapple Cup is part of Dunkin’s ongoing summer collaboration with Barbie, which has included a Barbie DreamHouse pop-up in New York City and a lineup of pink-themed beverages.
The cup itself features a metallic pink pineapple top on a clear pineapple-shaped base, and it launched today, June 12, at participating locations nationwide while supplies lasted. At $10.99 bundled with a free medium drink, it was priced more like a beverage purchase than a collectible.
The catch: quantities were extremely limited. Some store employees reported receiving only around 20 units per location, which meant many stores were cleaned out early in the day. That scarcity, combined with the built-in Barbie fanbase and the visual appeal of the design, pushed it onto the secondary market almost immediately.
Current eBay listings are sitting around $30 for the cup. After eBay’s 13% fee, that works out to roughly $13 in profit on a $10.99 purchase, assuming the drink came with it. Not a huge number, but the math is clean: you were likely buying coffee anyway, and the cup was practically included for free.
Sold listing volume is still building, so it’s worth watching over the next day or two to see whether prices hold or soften as more units get listed.
This isn’t the first time Dunkin’ merch has punched above its weight on the secondary market. We covered their canvas mini tote giveaway earlier this month, and before that, their Dunkings tracksuits were flipping for up to $400. Dunkin’ has gotten good at limited collectible drops that tap into a loyal, enthusiastic customer base, and the Barbie collaboration gives them a second fanbase to draw from on top of their regulars.
The pattern is consistent enough that Dunkin’ merch drops deserve a spot on your radar going forward. They tend to be low-cost entry points with a reasonable upside, especially when the item lands on the right cultural moment.
The Pink Pineapple Cup was a low-risk, low-effort flip for anyone who was already at Dunkin’ this morning. If you grabbed one, a $30 listing is reasonable based on current comps. If you missed it, don’t sweat it; the margin was modest and the window was short. The bigger takeaway is that Dunkin’ keeps producing these moments, and keeping an eye on their collab calendar is a habit worth building.
