Three brand new Oreo flavors are fighting for one permanent spot on grocery store shelves, and the losers disappear once the votes are counted. These aren’t quiet regional test flavors either. They’re rolling out at retailers everywhere at once, and the packaging basically tells shoppers to hoard now and ask questions later. We’re already seeing some of these packs listed on eBay for much more than they cost at Kroger.

Oreo's Unwrap the Collab Promotion

The three flavors first went up for presale on August 17 through Oreo’s own site and the SnackWorks TikTok Shop, branded as the Unwrap the Collab drop.

Today, August 24, all three officially hit grocery and retail stores nationwide, priced around $4 to $6 per pack depending on location and retailer. Shoppers scan a QR code on the pack to vote for their favorite at Oreo’s Twist Lick Vote page, with voting open through October 12 and the winning flavor announced October 13.

Oreo has run stunts like this before with the Pokemon and Supreme collabs, and both turned into legitimate eBay markets once supply got weird. This one has the same setup: three flavors, uneven distribution, and a hard deadline after which two of them stop existing.

Limited Edition Oreos Resell

Bundles of all three flavors are already moving on eBay for $30 to $40, more than double what a full three-pack set costs at retail. Volume is fairly low right now since most buyers are just curious shoppers rather than resellers, so this isn’t a flip to go all in on. But the entry cost is under $20 for a complete set, which makes it an easy way to pick up some lunch money and build eBay feedback with minimal downside.

The bigger play might be patience. Once the vote closes and two flavors are confirmed dead, expect the same collector instinct that hits every discontinued snack to kick in. Holding sealed packs of whichever flavors lose could be more lucrative than flipping them now.

There’s no manufacturer return policy on grocery store cookies, and retailers generally won’t take back opened food regardless, so treat any purchase as final sale. eBay’s standard 13.6% fee also cuts into the math. A $35 sale nets closer to $30 after fees, which is still solid profit against a sub-$20 cost for three packs, but it’s worth building into your pricing before you list.
