Little Tikes make a toy projector for kids for $45 to $60
Resellers are flipping them for around twice that amount
Toys are a great flip ahead of the Christmas season
Got any kids wandering around your house? Need something to keep them entertained? Why not pick up a Little Tikes Dream Machine toy projector. It’s a fun way for kids to see moving pictures without handing them a phone. These toys have proven popular enough to sell out everywhere, and now resellers are flipping them for up to two times what they retail for.
If you’re out of the loop, you might not know there’s a lot of money in products for kids. Recently we’ve covered Step2 Kids’ Christmas Trees and Roblox Titanic Plush toys, both of which resell for incredible prices.
Today we’re looking at the Little Tikes Dream Machine. It’s a downscaled plastic projector that actually works; you insert cartridges in the side of the device and it will project them onto a wall or screen with accompanying sound.
Most of the cartridges seem to be essentially narrated books, with a variety of classic properties like the Berenstain Bears and Sesame Street. The retail version ships with three cartridges, and many more can be bought separately.
Kids seem to genuinely love it, and it’s a pretty popular product. Reviews for show that both children and parents enjoy using, and for older people it’s a throwback to their own childhoods. It’s also getting attention on TikTok.

This kind of popularity has led the projector to sell out. The Little Tikes Dream Machine has an MSRP of $60, but it’s sold through several retailers with different prices. Amazon frequently restocks it at $45 and limits customers to three per order.
And as we all know when limited supply and strong demand meet, it’s a recipe for reselling. Now that these projectors have become hard to find through retailers, FOMO is hitting parents hard enough for them to turn to resellers.
Currently, a Little Tikes Dream Machine is reselling for somewhere between $80 and $100. Depending on where a reseller buys it at retail, this can net them $30 to $50 in profit. Considering you can buy these on Amazon through a restock and easily flip it locally, this is an opportunity to make an easy $100 or so off local sales alone.
Sounds pretty good right? We think so. While the big flips usually get all the attention, we think lowkey items that are easy to move and consistently profitable are important. Extra money is always useful this time of year, and this is right up there as one of the easiest methods around right now.
