Key Points

  • Regal’s Clan of Two Bust retails for $80 and is a Regal exclusive

  • The Cinemark Grogu Popcorn Container and AMC Grogu Pram are cheaper options that look promising

  • The AT-AT buckets are available for $70 from multiple chains and online stores

The Mandalorian and Grogu merchandise rollout is one of the most ambitious in-theater collectible campaigns in years, with AMC, Cinemark, Regal, and Marcus each bringing exclusive designs to opening week. A few of these are legitimately interesting for resellers. Here is a breakdown of what to go after, what to temper expectations on, and what to watch as the film gets closer to its May 22 premiere.

Regal's Clan of Two Popcorn Bust

This is the one to prioritize. Regal’s Clan of Two Bust Collectible Popcorn Container is a fully sculpted bust of Din Djarin in Beskar armor with Grogu on his shoulder. It plays music, projects the Mandalorian logo, comes with a large popcorn included, and batteries are included. It is a confirmed Regal exclusive.

Regal Mandalorian Grogu Clan Popcorn Bust

At $79.99, it is the most expensive piece in the theatrical lineup. But the combination of a detailed sculpt, interactive electronics, meaningful IP at the peak of its cultural moment, and chain exclusivity gives this real upside. We see this flipping well above $200 once supply dries up at Regal locations. That is not guaranteed, but the Beskar signet projected across a dark room while the score plays is going to move a lot of people. For Star Wars collectors, this is the real thing.

Regal has an online store up at store.regmovies.com with some Mandalorian merchandise, though the high-ticket items like the Clan of Two Bust are not currently listed. The clearer play is showing up in person on or after May 21, when Regal confirms the merchandise goes on sale. Inventory will vary by location.

Cinemark Grogu Popcorn Bucket

The two pieces from Cinemark’s lineup with the clearest resell case are the Grogu Popcorn Container and the 32oz Mandalorian Helmet Cup. The Grogu Container is a full sculptural Grogu bucket that is a North American Cinemark exclusive. Nothing else at any other chain looks like it. The Helmet Cup is a Beskar-silver sculpted helmet with a dome lid.

Neither has confirmed pricing as of this writing, but estimates put both somewhere around $25 to $35. At those price points, the Grogu Container has a realistic path to $80 to $100 on the secondary market, particularly if the design resonates with collectors who do not live near a Cinemark or cannot get to the theater during opening week. The helmet cup is a reasonable bundle partner. Listing both together could push returns higher than selling either piece individually.

Cinemark has confirmed that their most popular designs like these buckets and drink cups will remain in-theater exclusives and will not be sold online. Expect them to hit concessions over the weekend.

AMC Grogu Pram Popcorn Bucket

AMC’s standout is the Grogu Pram popcorn vessel, which recreates the floating hover pod that carried Grogu through the first two seasons of The Mandalorian. It is a different visual execution than the Cinemark Grogu Container, and AMC’s lineup has enough breadth (a Mando Helmet bucket, a blanket, and a mystery topper cup) that the Pram has a clear identity within it. AMC confirms everything launches May 21 while supplies last.

Pricing has not been officially confirmed, but the Pram will probably land in the $25 to $35 range based on comparable AMC releases. We see this realistically flipping for $60 or more, with the bundle play again being the smarter route. AMC also has a Mandalorian helmet bucket that could pair well with this.

Mandalorian and Grogu AT-AT Popcorn Buckets

The AT-AT popcorn bucket has caught considerable attention ahead of the film’s release. It holds 85 oz of popcorn, has adjustable legs, and features lights and sound. You can buy it at AMC, Cinemark, Regal, and Marcus, and it is also available online now through select independent retailers. That availability is the issue.

The AT-AT is already showing up in listings before the film even opens, which is a sign that the market is getting ahead of itself. Wide availability across four major chains means supply will be robust, and resellers chasing easy money on this one may find themselves sitting on inventory. It should still appreciate over time as a collectible, especially with Star Wars fans who missed opening week, but do not expect a quick flip at 2x or 3x. Regal confirmed the price at $69.99 with a free large popcorn included.

Release Dates, Availability, and Other Merch

Regal is the most confirmed chain right now. Merchandise goes on sale May 21, one day ahead of the film’s premiere. The Regal online store has some items live, though the biggest pieces may remain in-theater exclusives for now. Attendees to Regal HDR by Barco screenings on May 22 receive a free Grogu headband while supplies last, which is a nice bonus if you are already planning to see the film in that format.

AMC and Cinemark have not yet confirmed online availability or hard release dates for their merchandise. Theaters typically begin putting out merch a week or so before a film’s premiere, but the scale of this release may push things closer to May 21 or 22. Keep an eye on both chains’ social channels and websites in the next few days.

One note: the merch covered here is not everything being released, just the pieces we are most confident have real resale potential. There are also additional branded drink cups, popcorn buckets, blankets, and collectibles across all four chains. Approach those with your own research, use eBay sold listings to gauge comp prices for similar theatrical collectibles, and trust your read on what a Star Wars fan would actually want on a shelf.
