Injury Reserve Complete Discography Box Set

This box set includes 5 individually jacketed 12” records, and covers all of Injury Reserve’s projects that were released as a trio. Limited edition of 1,000.

Tempe based hip-hop group Injury Reserve has officially disbanded, and put out a collection of their complete discography on vinyl. Fans of the band had a chance to pick up a box set with five LPs for each of their releases since 2016. Because of the limited numbers, these sets sold out extremely fast. Now, Injury Reserve vinyl box sets are reselling for more than double what they retailed for, and it’s unlikely they’ll be available again.

Injury Reserve Vinyl

You might not have heard of Injury Reserve. They are, or were, a Tempe, Arizona based group made up of three members: rappers Stepa J. Groggs, Ritchie with a T, and producer Parker Corey. The group was active from 2013 to 2023, and produced five albums during their career.

Groggs died in 2020, and the two surviving members put the project on hold. For a time, it was unclear what the future of Injury Reserve looked like. In 2021, the group’s final album was released, “When I Get to Phoenix”. For the next two years, Ritchie and Corey would deliberate over whether they’d continue the group without Groggs.

In July 2023, the decision was made to officially disband. Going forward, the surviving members would reform a new project under the name By Storm, and the Injury Reserve name would stay behind with Groggs. However, one final release would come out in 2023: an Injury Reserve box set, containing all of their previous records.

Included in the Injury Reserve box set are five LPs. Each of their main albums has been pressed onto a 12″ vinyl record, with an accompanying sleeve featuring art from the album’s cover. For a Injury Reserve fan or collector, this was a call to action to pick up the group’s entire discography in one place, and many jumped at the chance.

Injury Reserve vinyl box sets cost $200 directly from the group’s Shopify store, and production was limited to 1,000 total sets. They were sold at 10 AM Pacific on August 18, and were limited to two per order. Vinyl versions of their albums “Floss” and “Live from the Dentist’s Office” were sold at the same time.

It took under five minutes for all 1,000 Injury Reserve box sets to sell out. Without a doubt, many fans were caught off guard by the fast sale, and most were left empty-handed.

With such limited stock, it was pretty much guaranteed that these would sell out. If you’ve read our other articles, you can probably guess what happened next…

Injury Reserve Vinyl Box Sets Resell

In less than an hour after the box sets sold out, there were a handful of aftermarket sales for them. Currently, Injury Reserve vinyl box sets are reselling for around $400. Most resellers are listing them closer to the $500 mark. After a few more days we’ll likely see sales increase in both price and volume as collector’s cave and pay up.

Injury Reserve Vinyl Box Set For Sale

Considering that Injury Reserve is officially over as a group, this may well be the last major release we see from them. It has a very “done and finished” feel to it, and can be seen as a way for the surviving members to officially wrap the project up and put it on the shelf.

The fans who missed out (most of them) will either need to seek out a reseller to complete their collection, or make angry threads on reddit complaining about not having one. It’s up to them.

If you want to learn more about reselling vinyl, check out our full guide here. Vinyl is a great option for resellers, as its a way for artists to produce tangible, collectable pieces of music that collectors foam at the mouth for. That typically ends up with triple digit sales on eBay and tons of profit for resellers who get in on sales early.
