Today is a good day for the bloated American consumer. Buc-ee’s has started rolling out a new line of limited edition Halloween merchandise, including a 40oz “Hey Boo!” tumbler. These have caught on with the sweet tea-loving public, and are sold out at most locations. Resellers have since taken advantage of the hype, and are now flipping Buc-ee’s Halloween tumblers for more than they paid. Here’s what’s up.
Buc-ee's Hey Boo Tumblers
Now we all know how much money can be made flipping tumblers. Stanley is still the big dog in the kennel right now, and a quick search through our articles will show all kinds of Stanley tumblers that resell.
But it’s not just Stanley. Starbucks, Owala, and Hydrojug have all stepped in to try and make a buck. Today we’ll be covering one more unlikely newcomer: Buc-ee’s.
Yes, Texas’ favorite gas station-cum-cultural touchstone has broken into the tumbler market. For their upcoming Halloween 2024 line of merchandise, Buc-ee’s is selling “Hey Boo!” 32 and 40oz tumblers for around $20.

Like other Buc-ee’s merch, these tumblers and the rest of the Halloween collection are not sold online. The only way to get your hands on it is to stop into a store, fight your way through unwashed masses, and make the purchase in person.
Naturally, this creates a great opportunity for resellers. Since Buc-ee’s is a southern chain, folks who have moved out of the region or are just Buc-ee’s fans from afar will have to turn to a third party to get their swag.

Fortunately for them, there are plenty of third parties willing to extend a hand. Even with Halloween a few months out, the hype around these tumblers has led to a pretty healthy aftermarket and plenty of sales on eBay.
Right now, a Buc-ee’s Halloween tumbler is reselling for just about $50. We’ve seen sales for both the 32 and 40oz versions, but people definitely seem to prefer the larger tumbler.
If you’re not an avid reader, these sales might seem a little confusing. After all, who cares enough to buy Buc-ee’s merch at a markup? And who is buying Halloween stuff in August?
Well, this is not the first time we’ve covered a Buc-ee’s product that resells. Back in April, we talked about Buc-ee’s Soda Dispensers that were designed to look like gas pumps. At the time they were reselling for up to $150.
And you should know that right now is actually the best time to purchase Halloween decorations. We’ve covered all kinds of spooky items in the last few weeks, from giant groundbreaking skeleton props from Costco to Disney Store Mickey Mouse Halloween wreaths.
