Similar releases have flipped for over $100 in the past
Want to make a little extra cash? Starbucks is getting to ready to launch a collection of drinkware and accessories in collaboration with the upcoming film “Wicked”. We’ve gotten sneak peaks at new tumblers, cups, and keychains that are exciting fans. We’ve similar releases flip for hundreds of dollars in the past, and we’re expecting this one to be just as possible. Nothing is “official” official yet, so we’re not sure when the collection goes live. That said, don’t hesitate to flip these when they hit stores.
Starbucks Wicked Tumblers and Keychains
Now, we all know just how much money can be made flipping tumblers. Stanley paved the way for us, and we’ve covered tons of profitable flips from the company over the last few months.
But Starbucks is no slouch, and they’ve introduced several collectable tumblers that we’ve covered recently. Last year the company spun up limited “The Nightmare Before Christmas” themed tumblers and a set of Halloween inspired drinkware, both of which resold for nice profits.
Now it looks like a new collaboration is on the way. Starbucks employees have released some back scenes footage showing an entire collection based on the upcoming film “Wicked”. The tumblers will likely be the most popular, but these keychains could also be very lucrative.

These products are based on the characters Elphaba Thropp and Galinda Upland, featuring brilliant green or pink color schemes and faux signatures from their respective character.
From the footage released, it seems like prices for the Starbucks Wicked tumbler will be around $35, and the keychains will likely be a bit less. It’s not clear yet if they will also release functional cups based on the keychain designs.
“Wicked” is set to release in November. It’s likely this collection will hit Starbucks locations at the same time, but they may also drop a few weeks before. Target has also carried limited collections like this in the past, so be ready to look there as well.
Will the Starbucks Wicked Collection Resell?
But will all this effort be rewarded? After all, driving to Starbucks is no mean feat, even if you reward yourself with a fatass iced coffee afterwards.
While nothing is certain, we have a very good feeling about the Starbucks Wicked collection. If you drew a Venn diagram of “people weirdly obsessed with musicals” and “people weirdly obsessed with Starbucks”, you’d just have one big circle.
And there’s definitely a precedent for Starbucks merch reselling. While most of their previous major drops have been Stanley collabs, their standalone stuff has still resold for a profit. October’s Halloween collection had resellers doubling their money through minimal effort.
That’s not the craziest flip we’ve ever covered, but it’s still solid. With a solid IP backing this drop, we’re pretty confident it will resell. Now we’ll just have to wait for Starbucks to come forward with more details.
