Karol G Bratz Dolls Flip for Up to $200

Well, there’s no denying it. December is here, and the holidays are bearing down fast. Hopefully you’ve spent the last few weeks getting your ducks in a row, because this month will go by in a flash.

If you’ve got a teenage girl or reseller on your Christmas list, we’ve got just the product for you. Bratz recently released a line of collector dolls based on the Colombian artist Karol G. These dropped yesterday through the Bratz website for $50.

With multiple outfits, a host of replica awards, and miniature vinyl, this is the perfect representation for any Karol G fan or Bratz collector with money to burn.

It’s worth noting these are a little different from the average Bratz product. As a “Collector Doll“, they were produced in much lower numbers and subject to a strict one-per-customer product limit. The higher retail price tag and additional details nail the point home.

Karol G Bratz dolls went up for sale on December 3 at 8 AM PST. We don’t know exactly how many were made, but we do know they sold out in under a minute.

The math should be pretty clear. Limited edition product, high upfront price tag, lots of interest with not nearly enough stock to go around. This was primed to flip, and flip it did.

Right now, Karol G Bratz dolls are reselling for around $150, just about triple what they retailed for. On the high end, presale and early confirmed orders have flipped for more than $200, although these prices don’t seem likely to stick.

Decent profits of $100 at a time, but the strict purchase limits meant that you needed to be clever to get the most out of this. In any case, resellers that managed to get in on this have padded their pockets with a little extra money before the holidays.
