Absolutely Ridiculous drops its Toy Story x Woody collection tomorrow at 11am PDT
Official pricing isn’t out yet, but standard sliding mitts and elbow guards run $85, leg guards $95
Past limited edition sliding mitts have resold for $150 to $300 on eBay
Woody just traded his boots for a batting glove. Absolutely Ridiculous, the baseball gear brand known for turning sliding mitts into eBay gold, is teaming up with Disney and Pixar for a full Toy Story lineup built around the sheriff himself. Denim stitching, a cowhide vest print, and a sheriff’s badge patch show up across the sliding mitt, elbow guard, and two leg guard styles. AR has a track record of selling out limited drops within minutes and watching resale prices climb well past retail soon after, so this crossover has resellers paying attention. Here’s what to know before it hits tomorrow.
The Woody collection goes live tomorrow, July 24, at 1pm CST, and it’s a straight buy-it-now drop rather than a raffle. Absolutely Ridiculous recommends joining the waitlist ahead of time since past releases have sold out within minutes of going up. The page refreshes live at launch, so have a card ready and skip the browsing.
AR hasn’t confirmed final pricing for the Woody pieces, but based on the brand’s standard lineup, expect the sliding mitt and elbow guard to land near $85 each, with the two leg guard styles closer to $95. Both standard and youth sizing will be available.
Focus on the sliding mitt if you can only grab one item. It’s Absolutely Ridiculous’ most consistent flip, and past designs have resold anywhere from $150 to over $300 for standout colorways. At an $85 retail price, even a modest $150 resale nets about $130 after eBay’s 13.6% fee, a solid flip if you can source one. A rarer design pulling $300 pushes profit past $170. The elbow guard and leg guards are newer to AR’s limited drop rotation, so their resale ceiling is less proven, but the Disney and Pixar license could bring in buyers who don’t normally follow the brand.
Absolutely Ridiculous offers 30 day returns on unused sliding mitts and protective gear in original packaging, which keeps the downside manageable if a piece doesn’t move. Absolutely Ridiculous has lost some of the hype from their early days, but this is a novel collection that’s expected to sell out fast. We’re looking forward to this one.
