Resellers have been flipping Stevie Nicks Barbies since October
They have begun stocking on Target for $55
They are reselling for nearly three times that
It’s always a good time to flip Barbies. After launching exclusively through Mattel’s online store, Target has begun to sell the extremely popular Stevie Nicks Barbies both in store and online. These have been a favorite for resellers since they launched last year. Now with more stock on the market, prices are coming down, but they remain a profitable flip. Expect to see more restocks and more profit in the immediate future.
If you’re a frequent RC flier, you might be familiar with this product. We first covered them back in October, and they ended up being one of the best flips of the last few months.
Stevie Nicks herself revealed the design during a performance at Madison Square Garden. Showing your new doll of to thousands of screaming fans is definitely a good way to launch a product. Why doesn’t everyone else do that?
What was great about this drop was the timing. Usually new Barbie drops, especially collectable ones release during the day, and are fairly telegraphed. Collectors might not know exactly when or what is being dropped, but they’ll have a fairly close idea.
But these Stevie Nicks Barbies loaded on Mattel’s website after the concert, late at night. Most collectors were already tucked in bed, so resellers were able to load up on stock before anyone else had a chance.
In turn, they ended up being a massive flip. We were flipping these in bulk for up to three times retail. Hopefully you can see why we’re excited about a restock.
Last week, Target began selling these Stevie Nicks Barbies. Previously, they’ve been a Mattel online exclusive, and sold out. Now that they’re hitting shelves at Target, it represents a new opportunity for resellers to make a band.
The details haven’t changed. Stevie Nicks Barbies are $55 whether purchased from Target or directly from Mattel. Highlights include a longsleeve dress inspired by the song “Rhiannon”, posable limbs and collectable packaging, and attachable tambourine.
With new stock being loaded on a regular basis, resellers have been earning a steady profit by flipping these Barbies. Remarkably, prices haven’t wandered much since the original release. Extra stock and solid sales volume makes for an ideal flip.
Right now, a Stevie Nicks Barbie are reselling for about $130 to $180. We’ve seen many sales close to or exceeding the $150 mark we saw last year.
The verdict? Get in on this while you still can. Target restocks Stevie Nicks Barbies occasionally, and they will sell out fast. As long as they struggle to stay on shelves, expect to see these Barbies to resell for solid profits.
