Donald Trump's Presidential Golf Shoes are Sold Out

Love him or hate him, you have to admit that Donald Trump knows how to capitalize on a moment. Within 48 hours of a failed assassination attempt, he’s back to his usual self by hawking a new and outrageously ostentatious product. The Trump Presidential Golf Shoes sold out this morning, and are beginning to appear on eBay for four times what they retailed for. Here’s what you need to know.

Well, it’s been a big weekend for 45. If you (somehow) missed the news, the former president was shot in the ear Saturday evening while holding a rally in Pennsylvania. The attack left two dead and two seriously injured, and it’s likely Trump will be missing a decent chunk of his ear.

It’s a tremendous gamechanger for both his campaign and Biden’s, and you better believe Trump will take advantage. After posting on Truth Social and an all-clear from his doctors, it was time time to make a little money.

Gold all over with black accents, eight pairs of spikes, and distinct “Trump Golf” branding all come together to create the biggest eyesore on the links.

The Trump Presidential Golf Shoes went live through the Trump Sneakers website on Monday morning. 1,000 total pairs were sold for $500 each. It took around an hour for all of them to sell out.

Yesterday’s release also included a host of new designs. We’ve got Trump knock-off Timberlands, Trump knock-off Jordans, and the exclusive “Fight Fight Fight” high-tops that feature a picture of a bleeding Trump with raised fist.

We told you, the man knows how to seize a moment. Most of the new items from this collection sold for $200 to $400. We don’t exactly how many have sold so far, but we’re guessing his campaign fund has received a sizable bump in the form of sneaker sales

But wait, there’s more! Some of the shoes sold yesterday will come with a signature by the Donald himself. For the gold Presidential Golf Shoes, 10 of the 1,000 will be signed, and 10 of the 5,000 “Fight! Fight! Fight!” sneakers will also come autographed.

There’s no way of knowing whether you’ve purchased an autographed pair until you actually receive them. Trump Sneakers estimate they will start shipping around September.

And if you can bear to part with them, you should know there’s quite a bit of money to be made reselling Trump Sneakers. Back in February we covered the former president’s first foray into footwear, and watched as the shoes sold out.

Within hours they were appearing on eBay for $1,000. Then $1,500. Then $3,000, then all the way to $5,000, up from a retail price of $500. After sitting in stock for over three hours, we were a little surprised to see them kick off so hard on the aftermarket.

So you can probably understand why resellers are so interested in the latest release from Trump Sneakers. When we see a $500 product 10X in value, it’s time to pay attention. Will these new golf shoes from Trump Sneakers do the same?

Well, not just yet. As of Tuesday morning, we’ve only recorded one confirmed sale through eBay for somewhere around $1,200. Resellers are currently asking between $1,200 and $2,000 for their pairs, including a few clever dogwhistles listed at $1,488.

In any case, we’ll be keeping our eyes on these shoes for the next few weeks. Trump fans are not exactly, hmm, “internet-attuned”? It took several days for the original sneakers to really kick off, so we might need some time for folks to get together at Applebee’s or post about it on Facebook before we see a real aftermarket emerge for these golf shoes.
