Seasonal Featherly Friends fabric birds are stocking at Target
Collectors are interested in the 10 piece Reunion set for $50
Resellers have flipped other sets for up to $200
Want to make some easy money before the holidays? We’ve got you covered. Today we’ll be looking at an early seasonal flip: Target’s new Reunion Featherly Friends collection. These fabric birds have built a remarkable community of collectors, and resellers have been there every step of the way, flipping them for multiple times over retail. Here’s what you need to know.
As fall gets closer to winter and the days get shorter, people start turning towards the real sources of warmth and joy in their lives. No, not their friends and family; consumerism. Buying things is one of the best ways to reignite that missing spark of passion.
And what a world we live in. Seasoned resellers can tell you all about the various products people throw their paychecks at, but one of our favorites is Target’s Featherly Friends collection.
Essentially just decorative fabric birds, these have exploded in popularity over the last few years. Target has leaned in on the collectable aspect recently, with birds like Tippi Hedren and their Halloween collection quickly selling out and flipping for a profit.
Target has just revealed an entire new collection of fabric birds for Christmas. These are split across multiple sets depicting scenes like the Nativity and characters like Santa.
What we’re looking at specifically is the Featherly Friends “Reunion” Christmas Collection. This is a set of 10 fabric birds based on Christmas characters. Target sells it for $50, although they are $10 off until tomorrow.
These have not sold out just yet. Based on the way we’ve seen past releases go, we expect them to be gone pretty soon. You can find them in the seasonal aisle at your local Target.
We’re still pretty early on this one. It’ll take a few days for these to really kick off, and as of now there are no confirmed sales for this set through eBay.
That said, there has been an uptick in Christmas fabric birds on the platform recently. We’ve seen sellers begin listing last year’s Christmas Featherly Friends for sale, and getting more than a few bites. On average, these birds are flipping for $10 to $15 over retail.
Modest on its face, but those profits can really stack up over an entire collection. And while these might be de facto limited edition collectibles, Target doesn’t put any purchase limits on them; you can buy as many Target Christmas Featherly Friends as you want.
But then again, not everyone likes making easy cash ahead of the holidays. We’ll leave this one up to you, but make sure you subscribe to our newsletter if you want to stay tuned in to latest flips before they pass you by.
