Wingstop is leaning all the way into 4/20 this year with a promotional rolling tray giveaway that has genuine flip potential. Only four stores across the country are participating, and the total supply appears to be capped at 420 units. If you’re in LA, San Jose, NYC, or Atlanta, this opportunity should be at the top of your 4/20 to-do list.

Wingstop Hot Box Rolling Trays

Starting April 17, Wingstop is bringing back its Hot Box, a meal loaded with three tenders or eight wings in a Fiery Nacho dry rub, served over fries with ranch and herb seasoning, plus a 20 oz drink and your choice of dip. Pricing varies based on your protein selection but sits around $10.

On April 20, the four participating locations will hand out a branded “flavor tray” with every Hot Box purchase, while supplies last. Reports indicate that the trays will be limited to 420 units, but it’s unclear if that’s per store or in total. Walk-in only, no app orders, no online purchases. One tray per transaction.

Wingstop's Rolling Trays Will Flip

We’ve seen this playbook before. Last week, Popeyes gave away collectible One Piece wooden bento boxes at six select locations, limited to the first 200 customers per store. The meal cost $13.99. Those boxes are now reselling for upwards of $300 on eBay. The formula is the same here: branded novelty item, extreme scarcity, in-store only, a handful of locations. Wingstop’s tray won’t have an anime fandom behind it, but 420 culture has its own massive and passionate collector base.

Realistically, these trays could fetch $75 to $150 on eBay. After eBay’s 13% fee, a $100 sale nets roughly $87 on a $10 investment. If the interest is even stronger than expected or these are actually limited to 420 units overall, expect to see prices climb higher.

All you’re risking is gas money and a few bucks for lunch. Get the meal, house the wings, and list the tray quickly. Even on the low end of our expectations this is extremely easy money for anyone near one of the listed locations.
