Nightmare Before Christmas Tumblers Are Back at Starbucks

We know what you’re (possibly) thinking: “It’s August and it’s still hot as hell out. Who’s thinking of Halloween right now?”

The answer would be smart resellers. If you didn’t know, Halloween is one of the most profitable times of the year, especially when you stock up on the right stuff to flip well in advance.

And today we’re covering the right stuff to flip. Starbucks revealed they’d be restocking a new version of their popular tumblers themed on “The Nightmare Before Christmas”. These were first sold last year, although the 2025 version features new artwork.

Starbucks’ “Nightmare Before Christmas” 24 oz tumblers are still available for $30 through the Disney Store website and certain local Starbucks locations that still carry stock. Customers are limited to two per order.

Let’s be clear: this is not a short term, make-your-money-back-in-five-minutes flip. You’ll probably want to hold onto your tumblers for some time, and wait for them to rise in value as we get closer to Halloween.

Additionally, there’s some risk involved. While the Disney Store offers thirty day refunds, you might have to hold onto the tumblers beyond that period. If they fail to resell you’ll be stuck holding the bag.

But we’re not particularly worried about that. These tumblers have been extremely popular on eBay since their reveal earlier this month, and we’ve seen quite a few resellers turning a profit on them before this restock.

Right now, 2025 Starbucks Nightmare Before Christmas tumblers are reselling for around $70. Obviously sales have slowed down since the restock, and things will probably be quiet for the next few weeks until demand ramps back up.

We can’t forecast the future and we’ll never encourage any reseller to throw all their money at one particular flips, but a solid market like the one we’re seeing for these tumblers is a very good sign. With 63 days left until Halloween, there’s still plenty of time for these to pick up steam.
