These were one of the most lucrative flips of 2023
The 2026 Club Cameron membership costs $200 and includes a welcome kit
Membership grants 48-hour priority access to member-only putter releases throughout 2026 that often resell well above retail
The welcome kit itself typically resells for around $130 on eBay, recouping some cost but still resulting in a net loss before any putter purchases
Club Cameron memberships opened for sale on January 15 and are still available, which is unusual. Aside from some tchotchkes, this membership gives you first access to limited putter drops all year that can flip for serious profit, but it’s not for everyone. If you’re considering joining, read this first.
First, let’s be clear about what you’re buying. The $200 membership gets you a physical welcome kit plus a full year of access to the password-protected Club Cameron section on Scotty’s website. This is where Scotty Cameron releases limited-edition putters, headcovers, apparel, and accessories exclusively to members with 48-hour priority before items go to the general public.
The 2026 SC Membership kit includes a Dancing Scotty Dogs High Camp 750ml Parkside Flask, a member headcover, sticker, and pin. Previous years have included weekender bags, cooler backpacks, and other golf accessories. While these items have collectible value, they’re not the reason to buy the membership.
Throughout the year, Scotty Cameron releases limited-edition putters exclusively to Club Cameron members. These aren’t your standard $400 retail putters. Member releases often feature special finishes, unique designs, or commemorative editions that command premium prices on the secondary market.
Past member-only releases have included special colorways, holiday editions, and collaboration putters that retail anywhere from $500 to $2,000+. Many of these sell out within hours and immediately flip for 20-50% above retail. Some rarer releases have doubled or tripled in value.
However, these drops are unpredictable. Scotty Cameron doesn’t announce a release schedule. You’ll get email notifications when new items hit the member store, giving you 48 hours to decide before they go public. Some months see multiple releases, others see none.
This membership makes sense if you meet these criteria:
You have capital to deploy: Member putters often retail for $500-2,000+. If you can’t comfortably spend $2,000-3,000 throughout the year on putters, this isn’t for you.
You can move fast: Drops sell out quickly. You need to check emails regularly and make buying decisions within hours.
You’re comfortable with golf market risk: Not every release appreciates. Some putters fall below retail value. You’re betting on Scotty Cameron’s brand strength and limited quantities creating demand.
You’re in it for the long game: Some putters take months to appreciate. Quick flips happen, but holding 6-12 months often yields better returns.
For experienced with resellers with access to significant capital or credit, this is an opportunity worth paying attention to. Reselling putters is much riskier than most other flips we cover, but it can be considerably more lucrative.
If you’re an RC Elite member, note that we’ve partnered with ScottyCameronKing for exclusive cashouts on select releases. Check for his analysis before drops, and don’t hesitate to buy anything he’s looking for.
Skip this membership if:
If you’re a novice reseller with limited capital and experience, this is probably not a good fit for you. You shouldn’t be tying up limited funds on risky, potentially long-term flips like these.
Here’s what makes this alert noteworthy: memberships opened on January 15 and are still available as of January 18. In previous years, Scotty Cameron released memberships in three batches throughout January, with each batch selling out within days before the next opened.
The fact that this current batch is still available three days later has some collectors speculating that Scotty Cameron ditched the batch system and this is a single large release. If that’s true, once this sells out, 2026 memberships are done.
We don’t know if that speculation is accurate, but historically these memberships do sell out. If you’re considering this, don’t assume you can wait weeks.
Scotty Cameron’s terms are strict: “Club Cameron membership is non-transferable and may not be resold. Anyone involved in this activity (seller or buyer) is subject to membership cancelation without notice.” They also reserve the right to “cancel Club Cameron membership or any or all privileges without notice if our terms are violated or if activity is undertaken in contradiction to the spirit of the Club Cameron program, e.g., embargo date violations or abusive reselling practices.”
Translation: if you’re obviously flipping every single release, they can boot you. They want collectors and players mixed in with resellers. Most resellers report no issues, but it’s something to be aware of.
Additionally:
The 2026 Club Cameron membership is not a traditional flip opportunity. You’re paying $200 for access to exclusive purchasing opportunities throughout the year. Whether it’s worth it depends entirely on whether you can capitalize on those opportunities.
If you have the capital, understand the Scotty Cameron market, and can move quickly on drops, this membership can generate hundreds, even thousands in profit over the year from just 2-3 good flips. Some resellers report significantly more from high-end releases.
If you’re new to golf reselling, don’t have a few thousand ready to deploy, or want predictable monthly opportunities, skip this. The membership itself loses you $70 upfront when you factor in kit resale value, and you’ll need to work to make that back.
For experienced golf resellers with capital ready, this is worth considering before it potentially sells out. Just know what you’re getting into.
