Star Wars: Galactic Racer Collector's Edition Preorders are Open

The Star Wars: Galactic Racer Collector’s Edition retails for $159.99 and is available for PS5 and Xbox Series X/S. It includes everything from the digital Deluxe Edition plus a set of physical extras that are worth breaking down:

• Metal landspeeder model of the Kor Sarun: Darc X, one of the game’s signature vehicles
• Physical 80-page art book showcasing never-before-seen artwork from development
• Two racing pilot patches for main character Shade and a rival racer
• Kestar’s Banner featuring the Bool Family Sigil
• Steel case with custom cardboard slipcover, all housed in a premium CE box

On the digital side, the CE also includes three exclusive bonus vehicles (the Kor Sarun: Darc X landspeeder, Kor Sarun: Ciza T speeder bike, and Kor Sarun: Rak S skim speeder), arcade events for those vehicles, a Naboo N-1-inspired livery pack, and a Deluxe Player Banner for multiplayer.

The Standard Edition is $59.99 and the Deluxe Edition runs $79.99 for comparison.

This is the first podracing-centered Star Wars game in more than twenty years. Star Wars Racer Revenge, the last entry in that lineage, came back into the spotlight for entirely different resell-related reasons — but the franchise gap is real, and it’s generating a lot of pent-up demand. Galactic Racer was revealed at The Game Awards 2025 and the reception was strong; the developer’s Criterion credentials give it credibility beyond typical Star Wars licensed titles.

Gaming CEs with strong physical components — particularly metal or die-cast models — tend to hold value better than CEs that lean on digital content.

The landspeeder model here is the headliner, and its quality will be a significant factor in where secondary market prices settle. If it’s cheap-feeling plastic with a metal finish, it’ll be a harder hold; if it’s a solid die-cast piece, expect prices to run north of retail post-launch.

No sold comps exist yet since preorders just opened, so you’re speculating on fundamentals here. The combination of a franchise with a passionate fanbase, a long drought between entries, and a credible developer is a reasonable thesis. That said, Fuse Games is a debut studio with no proven track record, and an unproven IP revival can underperform if the game review cycle goes poorly.

Preorders are live now through major retailers. Most gaming preorders are cancellable, so your risk window is relatively low until closer to the October 6 release date, at which point you should have reviews and early secondary market data to inform your decision.
