Olivia Rodrigo's SOUR IVC Vinyl is Flipping for $200

The Interscope Vinyl Collective is a monthly vinyl subscription that costs $48/month, with longer tiers available: 3 months for $135, 6 months for $258, and 12 months for $480. Every month, IVC releases one exclusive album variant limited to 3,000 individually numbered copies. No public sale, no repress. If you’re subscribed, you get one. If you’re not, you don’t.

The subscription also has perks beyond the monthly record. Active members get priority access to reserve units from past IVC releases that didn’t sell out, as well as early access to other Interscope exclusives and occasional member-only deals. Interscope announces the next month’s release roughly a month in advance, so subscribers can evaluate each drop before their renewal charges.

Not every IVC release is a resell opportunity. Some months are niche artists with limited fan bases and the secondary market stays flat. But when IVC lands a title with a massive, active fanbase, 3,000 copies is almost nothing against the demand.

SOUR is very much in that category. The album has sold over 7.5 million copies in the US alone and produced some of the most streamed pop songs of the past five years. The fanbase for this vinyl is enormous relative to the supply.

Current eBay listings for the SOUR IVC Edition are sitting around $200, with the market still active. That’s a rough profit of around $126 after eBay’s 13% fee and estimated shipping, based on a $48 cost of entry.

For context, one of the most lucrative recent IVC releases was December’s Playboi Carti Whole Lotta Red IVC Edition, which peaked at $300 on eBay. That one had the benefit of being a more cult-collector release with a slightly different buyer profile. Olivia Rodrigo’s fanbase is broader and more mainstream, which can push prices higher but also means more people listing simultaneously.

The $200 range makes sense as a current floor. We’d expect the market to stabilize around there for the next few weeks as immediate flippers list, then potentially climb as supply thins out. Collectors who missed this one will still be looking in six months.

If you’re not already an IVC member, the SOUR Edition is gone. But the case for subscribing going forward is solid. You’re paying $48/month for a guaranteed copy of a 3,000-unit pressing of an Interscope album that you won’t be able to buy anywhere else. Interscope has confirmed all IVC releases are one-time pressings with no represses, so these don’t get cheaper over time.

The upcoming June IVC (IVC32) is AFI’s “Decemberunderground” as a 2LP gatefold with two exclusive bonus tracks, color-shift cover art, a bonus litho, and a locker poster — all mastered by Levi Seitz and cut at 45 RPM. AFI’s core fanbase is passionate and serious about collecting. Worth watching.

Not every IVC release will flip for a profit. Purchasing a subscription with the sole intent to resell every release is a gamble, and you’d be wiser to approach it as a vinyl collector that flips the most popular releases to recoup your costs.
