Key Points

  • New Halloween decorations have been hitting shelves at Home Depot

  • Many are reselling for up to 3x profit

  • Sales could pick up even more as we get closer to Halloween

We hoped you’ve stocked up on fake blood and real vodka, because Halloween is fast approaching. Once we cross the threshold into October, expect to see skeletons and black cats on every corner. In addition to the holiday, this period also marks the start of the most profitable season of the year for resellers. Home Depot has begun stocking new 2025 Halloween decorations, with many of their most popular designs already reselling.

Reselling Halloween Decorations: The Basics

As we close out a fruitful summer, resellers are already turning their attention to what will hopefully be an even more fruitful winter. Q4 tends to be the most profitable of the year for a pretty obvious reason… Holidays. While the time between Black Friday and Christmas certainly yields the highest sales potential, the pros know that Halloween is not to be slept on.

Seasonal products and decorations deliver very strong margins for those that know where to look. We’ve recently mentioned the viral Trader Joe’s Halloween Tote Bags that should be hitting stores soon, and the Bride of Frankenstein props from Home Depot that were moving for almost 2x retail.

Now that we’re less than 50 days from Halloween, decorations are slowly but surely getting swept off the shelves, and we’ve highlighted some of the most profitable ones you can find at Home Depot.

A few things to keep in mind:

  • Home Depot offers 90 day returns on these products, so this is essentially a risk free flip.
  • All of these products can see a bump in resale price over the next month depending on supply and availability.
  • List these products everywhere you can to secure sales quickly. Local sales will likely secure the highest margin while avoiding seller and shipping fees.

Most Profitable Home Depot Halloween Decorations

5 ft. Grave & Bones LED Evil Pixie

Retail: $45

Resale: $100+

Home Depot Evil Pixie for Sale

This is a new addition to the Grave & Bones collection at Home Depot, so that may be why they are moving especially well. They are also sold in a 3-pack.

2.5 ft. Halloween Classics Mummy Cat

Retail: $40

Resale: $100+

Home Depot Cat Mummy for Sale

Who doesn’t love a spooky dead cat? Blow molds have been super popular around the holidays in the last few years, and these are some of the most profitable designs we’ve covered.

2.5 ft. Halloween Classics Golden Retriever Ghosts

Retail: $40

Resale: $100+

Home Depot Halloween Retriever for Sale

And what goes better with your spooky dead cat than a cute ghost dog? These pair well with the previous blow molds and are just as popular.

5.5 ft. Grave & Bones LED Gargoyles

Retail: $100

Resale: $160+

Home Depot Halloween Gargoyle for Sale

Note that these two Gargoyle decorations are slightly different, but selling at around the same price. These are currently moving at much less volume than the products listed above, but still worth keeping an eye on over the next month.

Home Depot Halloween Bucket

Retail: $3

Resale: ~$20

Home Depot Halloween Bucket for Sale

These 2-gallon Halloween themed buckets hit stores recently and quickly went viral on TikTok. At a $3 price point the margins on these buckets are sweeter than the candy they will be carrying. Try to sell in bulk to maximize profits.

5.5 Ft. Grave & Bones Black Skeleton Pony

Retail: $100

Resale: $200+

Home Depot Skeleton Pony for Sale

This Black Skeleton Pony is recording the highest volume of eBay sales among all the products we’ve listed here. The product has been taken off the Home Depot website, but we believe the link above is where it will be posted if it returns.

Note that finding some of these products can be pretty difficult. There’s a dedicated group of Home Depot shoppers that hunt for the latest decorations, and it’s pretty common to see the most popular designs sell out.

They can and do restock popular designs on occasion, but that becomes rarer and rarer as we get closer to the holiday. Consider this your last warning to get in on these flips before they’re gone for the year.

We hope this has motivated you to go out and capitalize on what can be a very healthy cashout before the Christmas rush. If you happen to find something interesting, don’t hesitate to search eBay for completed sales, and be sure to take advantage of Home Depot’s generous return policy. Most importantly, make sure to sign up for our newsletter so you don’t miss a beat. Happy hunting RC readers!
