Hamilton's Resident Evil Watches Retail for Over $1,000

Hamilton has built a small but notable history of video game crossover watches, and this Resident Evil collaboration is among their most cinematic yet. Each design is tied to a specific protagonist from Requiem.

The Grace Ashcroft watch is the American Classic Pan Europ at $1,475. Grace is an FBI analyst, and the design reflects that — gold accents, geometric caseback motifs, and a bold gold-and-black dial. It’s the more restrained of the two and, notably, the cheaper entry point.

The Leon S. Kennedy watch is the Khaki Field Auto Chrono at $2,175. Leon is the franchise’s most recognizable face — a Raccoon City survivor turned series icon — and his watch leans hard into that identity. All-black case, bullet-inspired pushers, and a wing detail at the 9 o’clock position honoring fallen comrades. This is the one collectors are going to want.

Both are limited to 2,000 units each. If you buy both in a single order, Hamilton is offering special dual-watch packaging — but they’ve flagged that stock for the bundle configuration is “extremely limited,” so don’t count on it being available for long.

Hamilton’s gaming collabs have a split record, and you need to understand both sides before committing at these prices.

The Death Stranding collaboration is the bullish case. That watch retailed for $1,500 — almost identical to the Grace price point here — and flipped for up to $3,000 on the secondary market. A clean 2x on a luxury watch is a strong result.

The Call of Duty collaboration is the cautionary tale. That design retailed for $975, and resellers were selling between $700 and $1,000, meaning most buyers lost money after fees. The franchise name alone doesn’t move the needle — the design and collector demand do.

Resident Evil sits closer to Death Stranding territory than Call of Duty in terms of collector culture. RE has a passionate, dedicated fanbase with a long history of spending on premium merchandise. Leon Kennedy in particular is one of gaming’s most iconic characters, and the $2,175 Khaki Field Auto Chrono is the obvious collector target.

The $1,475 Grace watch is trickier. Grace is a new character in a yet-to-be-released game, which is real uncertainty. If Requiem lands well and she becomes a fan favorite, that watch gets more interesting. If the game underperforms, the Grace design could end up sitting. For resellers focused on profit over fandom, the Leon watch is the cleaner bet — even at the higher price point.

These are expensive items with real downside. At $1,475 and $2,175 a piece, there is meaningful capital at stake if the market doesn’t respond. Hamilton has a standard 14-day return policy, but it’s unclear if these Resident Evil limited edition watches will be covered. It’s worth double checking on launch day to see if they’re included.

Fees matter here too. A $3,000 flip on the Leon watch nets you roughly $2,610 after eBay’s 13% cut — a $435 profit on a $2,175 investment. That’s a 20% return, which is solid but not spectacular. You’d need to see higher secondary market prices to make this worth the risk for pure resellers. Collectors who’d be happy owning either watch if it doesn’t flip have a much easier decision.

The dual-watch bundle is a genuinely interesting angle if you can secure it. Dual packaging on a pair of $3,650 watches could command a meaningful premium among collectors who want the complete set.

This is a high-risk, moderate-reward opportunity aimed squarely at serious watch collectors and resellers with capital to deploy. The Leon Kennedy Khaki Field Auto Chrono is the stronger play, considering his long-lasting icon status among gamers. The Grace watch is a bigger gamble on a character nobody has met yet.

Don’t buy either expecting a guaranteed flip. Verify the return policy on release day before committing. If limited editions are excluded from Hamilton’s standard 14-day window, you’re fully exposed if you can’t move them.
