Absolutely Ridiculous One Piece RARE Gloves Drop in One Hour

Absolutely Ridiculous built its reputation making baseball equipment that doubles as art. Their collab gloves and sliding mitts regularly sell out at retail and find second lives on eBay at healthy premiums. This One Piece collection is their biggest IP collaboration to date, officially licensed and inspired by Monkey D. Luffy’s red yukata from the Wano arc.

The full One Piece x Absolutely Ridiculous collection includes sliding mitts, leg guards, elbow guards, and hand guards — all already available on their website. But the piece resellers actually want is the RARE edition baseball glove, which drops today, March 13, at 11 AM PST. Only 75 will be made.

The collection has a special endorsement from Jazz Chisholm Jr., the New York Yankees outfielder and one of the most visually expressive players in MLB, has been wearing Absolutely Ridiculous gear and is tied to this release. That kind of real on-field visibility does a lot for demand.

One Piece itself needs no hype boost. With over 100 million manga volumes sold and a hugely successful Netflix live-action adaptation, One Piece boasts a massive, passionate global fanbase that extends well beyond baseball fans. We’re coming off a historic high for the franchise as well, with their college basketball US promotion generating sold out and games and huge profits for trading card resellers.

Absolutely Ridiculous has a documented history of secondary market performance. Their collectable sliding mitts have previously flipped for $150 or more over retail, and their limited gloves follow a similar pattern.

We don’t have a confirmed retail price for the RARE edition yet, but their previous RARE glove release in December retailed around $420. Expect something in that range today.
