Key Points

  • The Stanley 1913 x Nest collection features four limited edition designs; $45 for 30oz tumblers and $35 for 16oz mugs

  • Popular Stanley limited drops have historically sold for $100 to $150 on the secondary market

  • Stanley’s standard 30-day return policy applies, though the site warns that multiple or large orders may be cancelled

Stanley has a long history of turning limited collabs into reseller opportunities, and today’s International Women’s Day drop with nonprofit Nest gives that formula another shot. Four global artists each contributed a design drawn from their cultural heritage, available in two vessel formats. Whether these move the way earlier Stanley collabs did is the real question right now.

The Stanley 1913 x Nest collection is live now on Stanley’s website. Each of the four designs is available as a 30oz Quencher ProTour Flip Straw Tumbler ($45) and a 16oz AeroLight Transit Flip Top Mug ($35), for eight SKUs total.

The four designs and their artists:

Community by M.A Estudio (Mexico City) draws on ancestral weaving traditions from indigenous communities in Mexico. The design features intertwined hands rendered in a wool textile-inspired style.

Freedom Women by Fabriulous (Shanghai) is based on a symbolic bird of the Miao tribe from China’s Guizhou region, rendered in a bold painting style.

Her Symbols, Her Story by Élan Byrd (Miami) is a hand-drawn collection of symbols representing feminine qualities including courage, strength, and joy, inspired by early forms of written communication.

Kofi Masquerade by Studio 189 (New York/Accra) pulls from West African ceremonial masquerade dress and was originally hand-batik dyed on cotton under the Ghanaian sun.

All four are genuinely well-made designs. The Community and Her Symbols, Her Story pieces in particular have strong visual appeal that could help them move on the secondary market.

Will These Resell?

This is where we need to be honest: Stanley has cooled off considerably from its peak. The days of every limited drop selling for three or four times MSRP are behind us. That said, standout collabs with strong visual design and cultural relevance can still turn a solid profit.

Based on past Stanley limited drops, realistic resale on the tumblers sits somewhere around $80 to $100, with stronger designs potentially pushing $120 to $150 if demand is there. That puts profit after eBay’s ~13% fee at roughly $25 to $85 on a $45 tumbler, depending on which design and how the market responds. The mugs at $35 retail have less margin to work with.

There are no explicit quantity limits stated on the product pages, but Stanley’s site does include a note that “multiple or large orders may be cancelled.” Keep purchases reasonable.

We have no production numbers. The only thing we have to go on is these are billed as “limited edition.” They may sell out and flip for a profit; they may sit and brick. Caveat emptor.

Stanley’s standard return policy covers these for 30 days, which meaningfully reduces your downside. If demand doesn’t materialize, you have a window to return rather than sitting on inventory.

The bigger risk is simply that Stanley collabs don’t carry the same guaranteed hype they once did. This isn’t a celebrity-backed drop or a sold-out-in-minutes situation. Buy selectively, favor the designs with stronger visual appeal, and don’t over-commit.
