Here's What's Worth Flipping at D23 2026

Disney holds D23 every two years and it is, without question, one of the best conventions in the country for resellers. If you are in or near Southern California this August, you should already be thinking about attending.

D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event is Disney’s official fan convention, bringing together every corner of the company under one roof. Star Wars, Marvel, Pixar, Disney Parks, animation — all of it. But beyond the panels and celebrity appearances, the convention floor is stocked with exclusive merchandise that you simply cannot buy anywhere else. The combination of Disney’s brand reach and genuinely limited production numbers means these items move on eBay before the convention weekend is even over. We will be covering specific drops in detail as announcements roll in closer to August, but enough has been confirmed already to make the case for buying a ticket now.

D23 takes place August 14-16 at the Anaheim Convention Center, with evening showcases at the Honda Center each night. The convention floor is open 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. all three days, which gives you plenty of time to work through the show floor and hit the shopping opportunities you are there for.

Tickets are not cheap and not easy to get. A 3-day Fan Pass covering the convention center only is $297. Add Honda Center access and the price starts at $297 for a 3-day Ultimate Fan Pass. The top tier — the Ultimate Preferred Fan Pass — runs $1,299 to $2,599 depending on seating, and includes exclusive random selection process access for certain limited-edition pins.

Every ticket also carries an $11.25 service fee and a $16 delivery fee per transaction. For resellers, the 3-day Fan Pass at $297 is the entry point that makes the most sense; you are there for the show floor, not the evening presentations.

There is also a new Afternoon Only option at $49 per day if you want a lower-stakes entry point, though afternoon-only tickets are locked out of the RSP pin reservation process.

Getting in requires a D23 Gold Membership, which starts at $49.99 per year for the Essential plan. Ticket sales open March 31 at 10 a.m. PT for Charter Members and April 2 at 10 a.m. PT for all other Gold Members on paid plans. If you have a Disney+ subscription, you can access a complimentary Gold Member plan or upgrade to a paid tier at 20% off through Disney+ Perks.

The 2024 event sold out quickly enough that Disney structured this year’s sale to Gold Members only, with no general public window confirmed. If you are on the fence, buy a ticket before they are gone. Resellers who attended 2022 and 2024 left with inventory that covered the ticket cost many times over.

Disney and D23 have already confirmed several specific drops, with more announcements expected as the event approaches.

Limited Edition Event Pins: Fifteen individual pins have been announced for D23 2026, each limited to 1,000 units at $39.95 each. All 15 feature full-color Disney characters set against a stained-glass window design with a Fantasyland castle backdrop. At LE-1,000, these are smaller print runs than many Disney park pins, and convention-exclusive pins with production numbers in this range have a consistent track record of flipping for 2 to 5 times retail on eBay. The buy-in here is low enough that picking up several is a reasonable play.

Loungefly x Disney Oswald Backpack and Ears Bundle: Also included with the Gold Choice and Complete plans, this is a co-branded Loungefly accessory featuring Oswald the Lucky Rabbit. Loungefly has had a dedicated D23 presence at every expo, and their event-exclusive bags consistently flip in the 1.5 to 2x retail range. Oswald is a niche character with a passionate collector base, which works in this item’s favor.

Sorcerer’s Apprentice Mickey Mouse Collector Statue: Another Gold membership premium item, this Fantasia-inspired statue was created specifically to celebrate D23 2026. Limited-production Disney collectible statues do find buyers on the secondary market, though the ceiling here is more modest than pins or TCG sets. Worth picking up if you are already on the Gold Complete plan, but probably not worth upgrading your membership solely for this item.

D23 Disney Lorcana Trading Card (Mad Hatter): Included with all Gold Essential memberships, this is a single exclusive Lorcana promo card featuring the Mad Hatter. Single promo cards with limited distribution and no standalone purchase option are exactly the kind of thing Lorcana collectors pay up for on eBay. Pricing will depend on the card’s specific mechanics and rarity designation, which have not been announced.

The confirmed items above are only what Disney has announced with months still to go. D23 historically adds significant exclusive product reveals closer to the event, and certain categories are effectively guaranteed at this point based on past patterns.

Lorcana D23 Exclusive Set: Ravensburger has released a D23-exclusive Lorcana promo set at each of the last two expos. The 2022 set retailed for $50 and reached $4,000 sealed on eBay. The 2024 set, which included six alternate-art cards and a preview card, retailed for $99.99. No 2026 D23 Lorcana set has been confirmed yet, but the Lorcana Championship is scheduled at Disneyland Resort in late August 2026, just two weeks after D23, which would make an exclusive promo release at the expo the most natural tie-in imaginable. If Ravensburger announces one, it moves to the top of the priority list.

High-End Star Wars and Marvel Collectibles: In 2024, D23 offered a signed Clone Wars lightsaber hilt set at $550 and a Star Tours StarSpeeder replica at $300, both limited to 3,000 units. Both sold out and flipped for meaningful profit. Disney’s IP calendar is deep enough that equivalent items are virtually certain for 2026, and details usually drop one to two months before the event. Watch for signed or numbered collectibles in the $200 to $600 retail range with production caps under 5,000.

Buy a ticket on April 2 if you are in the area and can attend. The floor pass at $297 for three days is the practical option for resellers focused on shopping. The merchandise volume across three days makes it a reasonable investment even with the confirmed items alone, and the list of unannounced drops will only grow between now and August.

For resellers who do not currently hold a D23 Gold Membership, here is what attending actually costs. All tickets require a Gold Membership at minimum, which is $49.99 per year for the Essential plan. Every ticket carries an $11.25 service fee, and every transaction carries a flat $16.00 delivery fee regardless of how many tickets you purchase.

We recommend skipping the afternoon pass unless you genuinely can’t clear a day for the event. The one-day pass will allow you plenty of time to explore the convention and stock up on the most popular items before other attendees buy them out. If you can clear your schedule for the full weekend, the math strongly favors the three-day pass.
