Key Points

  • Target’s Black Friday Pokemon bundles retailed for $25 per 2-pack with 8 booster packs total

  • Current resale prices sit consistently between $50-60 on eBay with multiple sold listings confirming demand

  • Purchase limits were 2 per transaction but multiple transactions allowed resellers to stack inventory

Target dropped exclusive Pokemon TCG bundles for Black Friday that basically printed money for resellers who showed up early. At $25 retail flipping for $50-60 on eBay, these were some of the cleanest Black Friday profits in the Pokemon category.

Pokemon Black Friday Bundles

The bundles dropped November 23 online and in-store as Target-exclusive Black Friday products. Four box styles were available, grouped into two different 2-pack combos: Kyurem and Melmetal together, or Archaludon and Reshiram together.

Each 2-pack bundle included 8 booster packs total from sets like Destined Rivals, Journey Together, Surging Sparks, Paradox Rift, and Stellar Crown, plus promo cards, oversized foil cards, and TCG Live codes.

Here’s where it got good for resellers. Target limited purchases to 2 bundles per transaction, but nothing stopped you from running multiple transactions. Smart resellers loaded shopping carts with both bundle types, checked out separately, and walked away with 10-20 bundles at $25 each.

Supply was solid but not unlimited. Most stores had decent inventory on Black Friday morning, but they were cleaned out by afternoon. Online stock lasted longer but required fast checkout since bots were hitting them hard.

eBay’s showing strong consistent sales in the $50-60 range. These aren’t sitting, they’re moving. Sold listings show bundles clearing within 24-48 hours of listing at $55 with free shipping.

Both bundle combos are performing similarly. The Kyurem/Melmetal and Reshiram/Archaludon pairs both flip in the same $50-60 window, so it didn’t matter which ones you grabbed. Just load up on whatever Target had in stock.

The math worked beautifully. Buy at $25, flip at $55, that’s $30 profit per bundle before fees. After eBay’s 13% cut, you’re still clearing $20-22 per bundle. If you grabbed 20 bundles, that’s $400-440 profit for a morning’s work.

The 8-pack bundle format hit the sweet spot. Not so expensive that collectors hesitated, but substantial enough that resellers could move volume. Compare that to single collection boxes at $15-20 where margins are tighter and shipping eats more of your profit.

If you’re sitting on 10+ bundles, list half now at $55 and hold half until mid-December. Holiday shopping rush should keep demand steady through Christmas, then reassess based on how your listings perform.

Anyone who grabbed these at $25 is eating. This was one of those rare Black Friday Pokemon drops where the math just worked perfectly. Double your money, fast turnover, solid demand.

Target Black Friday Pokemon Restocks

Target may drop additional inventory of these bundles at the same $25 price point on November 29 for Black Friday proper. The initial November 23 drop was technically the start of their Black Friday week, but the actual Black Friday date could bring restocks.

If Target does restock, expect online inventory to move fast. In-store availability will vary by location, but high-traffic stores typically get priority restocking for major shopping days. Anyone who missed the first wave should have alerts set and be ready to move quick if they drop again.

For resellers already sitting on inventory, a restock would temporarily flood supply and potentially push resale prices down $5-10 for a few days. Not a disaster, but worth timing your listings around. If restock rumors heat up, consider listing before November 29 to avoid competing with fresh supply.

Bottom Line

Target’s Black Friday Pokemon bundles were genuine money. At $25 retail flipping for $50-60, you’re looking at 100%+ returns after fees. The 2-per-transaction limit was easy to work around, letting resellers stack serious inventory.

If you copped heavy on Black Friday, you’re clearing $20-22 profit per bundle right now. That’s $400+ profit on a 20-bundle purchase with inventory moving fast.

The lesson here is Target Black Friday Pokemon exclusives can absolutely hit when the retail pricing is aggressive enough. $25 for 8 packs plus promos was too good for collectors to pass up, which created the resale demand resellers needed.

These bundles were returnable within 30 days at Target, which meant almost zero risk. Worst case, if they didn’t flip, you could return them. Best case, you doubled your money in a week. That risk-reward ratio doesn’t come around often.
