Key Points

  • Scotty Cameron released four Gallery putters this week with prices ranging from $2,500 to $4,500 at retail

  • All models sold out through the lottery system within two hours of the 8:30 AM Pacific drop

  • These are final sale only with no refunds, making them high-risk purchases for resellers without proven secondary market data

Scotty Cameron’s Wednesday Gallery drop hit this week with four tour-grade putters ranging from $2,500 to $3,000, and they disappeared faster than most resellers could even enter the lottery. This has become a reliable source of income for savvy resellers, and we want to remind our readers not to skip out on a lucrative opportunity.

November 19 Scotty Cameron Gallery Putters

Every Wednesday at 8:30 AM Pacific, Scotty Cameron drops a handful of ultra-premium putters on the Gallery section of their website. These aren’t your standard retail models. Gallery putters are tour prototypes, custom builds, and limited SSS (Special Select Stainless) designs that collectors and tour players actually use on the PGA Tour.

The release format switched to a lottery system last year after bots dominated the old first-come, first-served drops. Now you enter a random drawing for each putter, and if your name gets pulled within the two-hour window, you’ve got one hour to complete the purchase. Miss that window and someone else gets the opportunity.

This week’s lineup was heavier than usual. The 009M Masterful SSS Peace Crown topped the list at $4,500, the Phantom T-7.5 Welded Neck Prototype went for $3,000, and two models hit $2,500 each: the Select Squareback 2 Tourtype SSS and the Tour Rat II. All four sold out within the drawing period.

Gallery releases aren’t mass-produced retail models. These are the putters you see tour pros using on Sundays. SSS heads are made from German Stainless Steel, which gives them different sound and feel characteristics than standard 303 stainless. Tour prototypes feature design tweaks and custom specs that never make it to retail production.

The 009M Masterful SSS Peace Crown at $4,500 is the standout. It’s got hand-stamped artwork including a 7 Point Crown, Peace Sign, and triple Circle Ts in the back cavity. Comes with a pink Camo Bulldog Circle T headcover and Tour Only Pistolini grip. The 009M head shape is a tour favorite that blends Newport 2 styling with Masterful forgiveness.

The Phantom T-7.5 Welded Neck Prototype features a welded jet neck, custom arrow sight cue, and purple Baller Boy Circle T mid-round headcover. The welded neck is a tour-specific modification that changes weight distribution and feel compared to standard inserted necks.

The Select Squareback 2 Tourtype SSS takes the wider mid-mallet design and adds SSS construction with a sight line milled into the topline. It’s targeted at players who want Newport 2 mechanical lines in a more forgiving package. Yellow Baller Boy Circle T headcover included.

The Tour Rat II continues Scotty’s Tour Rat evolution with the Newport 2 head shape, crisp profile, and removable sole weights for custom balance. Pink Camo Bulldog Circle T headcover and Tour Only Pistolini grip round out the package.

Scotty Cameron Gallery Putters Resell

Here’s where it gets tricky. Unlike the My Girl putters that have years of consistent resale data, Gallery putters vary wildly depending on the specific model, finishes, and who’s currently hunting for what.

Tour Putter Gallery, one of the biggest secondary market dealers for Scotty Cameron, lists similar SSS and tour prototype models anywhere from $3,500 to $6,000. But that’s asking price, not sold price. The actual secondary market for Gallery putters is smaller and more unpredictable than limited releases like My Girl or Holiday editions.

Golf collectors who win these lotteries typically fall into two camps: serious Scotty enthusiasts who plan to game the putter or add it to their collection, and resellers betting on 20-40% flips. The problem is that at $2,500 to $3,000 retail, you need buyers willing to spend $3,000 to $4,000+ to make the flip worthwhile after eBay’s 13% fees.

Risk Factors

All Gallery putters are final sale only. If you win the lottery and complete the purchase, you own that putter whether it resells or not. There’s no safety net.

The My Girl release has predictable demand because it happens annually with consistent branding and collector interest. Gallery drops change every week with different models, finishes, and price points. What sold for $4,500 last month might sit at $3,200 this week depending on market appetite.

For resellers, this is a calculated gamble. You’re betting $2,500 to $3,000 that someone will pay enough over retail to justify the risk and fees. The odds improve if you’re actually a golfer who’d be happy using a $2,500 putter if it doesn’t flip.

Why Resellers Keep Playing

Despite the risk, the Gallery lottery remains one of the cleanest flips in golf. If you hit, you’re looking at potential profits of $500 to $1,500 per putter with minimal time investment beyond entering the Wednesday draw.

The entry process takes five minutes. You create an account, enter for each putter you want, and wait to see if you win. There’s no bot competition anymore thanks to the lottery format, so everyone has equal odds. You can enter for all three putters each week, though winning multiple in one day is rare.

The real advantage is that Gallery putters hold value better than most golf equipment. Standard retail putters depreciate the moment you take them out of the plastic. Gallery releases either maintain retail or appreciate, depending on the model and market conditions.

Should You Enter the Gallery Putter Drawing?

If you’ve got a few grand you’re willing to lock up, entering the Gallery lottery makes sense. The worst case is you don’t win and lose zero dollars. Best case, you secure a putter that could net you $500 to $1,500 profit within a week.

The catch is you need to be comfortable with the final sale risk. If the market’s soft when your putter arrives, you might hold it for months waiting for the right buyer. Or you cut your losses and sell below retail to a dealer who’ll sit on it longer than you want to.

For someone already into Scotty Cameron putters who understands the collector market, Gallery drops are worth the weekly five-minute entry. For someone looking to flip without golf knowledge, the risk is higher because you can’t evaluate whether a specific model is actually desirable or just expensive.

Bottom Line

The Gallery updates every Wednesday at 8:30 AM Pacific. Scotty Cameron doesn’t announce what’s dropping ahead of time, so you find out when the page goes live. Models, quantities, and prices change weekly based on what’s coming out of the Putter Studio.

Set a calendar reminder for Tuesday night if you want to play the lottery. Wednesday morning, the page updates with that week’s offerings. You’ll have until approximately 10:30 AM Pacific to enter the drawings, with winners notified by email shortly after.
