Key Points

  • Sydney Sweeney’s bathwater soap is still selling for over $200

  • Tons of fakes are listed for sale

  • Gross knockoff versions have also appeared online and through Walmart’s online store

We’ve got something especially nasty for you today. A market for illicit, unauthorized bathwater soaps has emerged on eBay, with unscrupulous sellers bottling their own bathwater and attempting to pass it off as Sydney Sweeney’s. We might be resellers, but even we draw the line at selling counterfeit bathwater soap.

Dr. Squatch Sydney's Bathwater Bliss

Maybe we should give a little backstory for the uncultured folks that don’t know what the hell we’re talking about.

Back in May, Sydney Sweeney worked with Dr. Squatch for a limited edition collection of men’s soap. “Sydney’s Bathwater Bliss” was pressed from the finest materials: pine bark, sand, and a few droplets of Sydney Sweeney’s actual bathwater.

The entire thing was backed up with a titillating marketing campaign. Remember, this all happened at the peak of horny internet discourse about Sweeney.

The bars were limited to just 5,000 units and priced at $8. Each one came with a certificate of authenticity so buyers could suds up in confidence. Better yet, Dr. Squatch set a pretty generous quantity limit of four per customer, so resellers were able to load up when they went live.

Speaking of reselling, this soap was one of the most lucrative flips we covered in 2025. Within hours of them selling out, we saw resellers flipping the sub-$10 bars of soap for over $300 at a time. Some people were able to secure over $1,000 in profit that day.

Obviously, soap is not a long-term investment. Whether buyers were using the product as intended, melting it down and distilling it into essential oil, or just straight up eating it, the number of bars on the market has steadily dwindled.

To this day, authentic bars of Sydney Sweeney’s bathwater soap are still reselling for over $200 at a time, but those profits have attracted a new class of less-than-scrupulous sellers hawking counterfeit soap.

“Located in China”

These can be identified by their low sales prices, usually around $10 to $20 per bar. While celebrity bathwater soap was already questionable, it’s disgusting to think of whose nasty-ass skin cells and soap scum was pressed to make these bars.

At the same time, it’s also spawned a secondary market for open knockoffs, with multiple listings for bars of “Sydney’s Toilet Piss Bliss” and “Sydney’s Bloody Bliss”.

Sydneys Bloody Bliss Toilet Piss Soap

k*** y*******

That’s pretty f*cking gross for multiple reasons. Usually we take a “let people enjoy things” view on the kind of dumb stuff we see listed for sale on eBay, but we hope anyone buying this shit takes a long look in the mirror and a longer shower with soap that won’t give them a boner.

And it’s hard to feel too bad for the folks that got ripped off by the counterfeits. If the decisions you’ve made in your life brought you to buying fake celebrity bathwater soap and that’s somehow upsetting, you’ve really only got one person to blame (no, it’s not the scammer that sold you their rancid bathwater).

That’s pretty much it. What are the takeaways? If you’re short on cash and morals, consider selling some of your bathwater to horny dorks with a fake label slapped on top. Or get a job. No skin off our back either way.

And if you’re looking to make actual money reselling actual products, you’re on the right website. Check out some of the profitable flips we’ve covered this week, from Home Depot’s viral R2-D2 Christmas props to Melanie Martinez’ latest perfume restock.
