Atlas Fallen is a new video game launching later this month
Signature Editions of Atlas Fallen are limited to 100 copies per platform
There have been a few sales at around $200, and more may be on the way
There have been a lot of new and highly-awaited games released this year, with even more waiting just around the corner. Titles like Baldur’s Gate 3, Starfield, and Final Fantasy XVI have been soaking up the limelight. With all these major releases, you might not have heard much about the upcoming game Atlas Fallen. Today, we’ll be changing that, at taking a closer look at this new game. Special Signature Editions of the game were sold several months ago, and are now reselling ahead of its launch.
At it’s core, Atlas Fallen is a monster hunting game. It’s an original IP, set in a fantasy desert that sees characters fighting a wide variety of enemies, exploring the desert, and just generally killing things.
Atlas Fallen is developed by Deck13, who are best known for their work on 2013’s Lords of the Fallen and the Surge. The game is published by Focus Entertainment who also handled Atomic Heart and the Plague Tale series. In short, it’s a AAA production made and published competent teams with experience under their belts.
And like any modern AAA title, that means Atlas Fallen has a collector’s edition. Well, two, actually. There’s the Atlas Fallen Limited Edition for $80, that includes a special case and SteelBook for the game, along with some promotional art. These copies are not highly limited, and can still be purchased at retail quite easily.
Then you have the Atlas Fallen Signature Edition. Now, as far as collector’s editions for games go, these are actually quite rare. Just 100 Atlas Fallen Signature Editions were produced per platform (the game is on PC, Xbox, and PlayStation).
Included in the Signature Edition is a distinct wood print of artwork from the game, and certificate of authenticity signed by the game’s artists. Both of the special items from the collection are numbered out of 100.
Well, you’re a little too slow. Atlas Fallen Signature Editions were first sold in March of this year, and cost $100. Considering that just 300 in total were available, they didn’t stick around forever. Many copies were bought by RC Elite members, who held onto to them to resell before the game’s launch.
Speaking of which, let’s take a look at how these games are doing on eBay.
While Atlas Fallen is far from the biggest release this month, there are still plenty of people looking forward to the game. Deck13’s previous games have built up a solid following of fans who are ready to jump in. With just 100 Signature Editions allocated to each platform, there’s a pretty good chance that someone will be willing to pay something to have one.
Right now, Atlas Fallen Signature Editions are reselling for around $200, representing a profit of $100 per copy. There aren’t a ton of sales though, so it’s hard to tell what the long term value of the game will be. Positive reviews and lots of sales will go a long way towards boosting the price of Signature Editions.
This is definitely a more niche game, but any time a product is produced in these kinds of limited numbers it’s worth keeping an eye on. Copies may be worth quite a bit in the long run.
Make sure you’re subscribed to our newsletter if you want more updates on everything worth reselling. Considering how many big games are being released this year, we’ve been talking about collector’s editions quite a bit. You can check out our writeups on Baldur’s Gate 3 and Starfield here.
