If you’re looking to collect a little art (and we do mean little), or you just want to make some extra cash, you should check out Brad Hill’s “Peeks” series. These miniature casts are very popular with his fans and collectors. Each drop is sold in limited numbers through a lottery, and inevitably end up reselling. Yesterday, two new Peeks were raffled through his website, and it’s only a matter of time until we see them on eBay for three times what they originally sold for.

So, what exactly are “Peeks”? The answer is in the name; Peeks are a line of miniature artworks produced by Brad Hill. Each Peek begins with a original sculpture, which is then cast in resin, painted by hand, and encased in a custom box.

The sculpture “peeks” out of a small hole cut in the front of the box, which cannot be opened in any way. The only way to view the art is by peeking through the hole, hence the name. Each Peek is quite small as well, with the casts themselves measuring around 1″ inside a 4″ box.

Peeks are always sold through a lottery on Brad Hill’s website. The latest series includes Peeks based on Mega Man and Toad. They opened on June 26 at 10 AM Pacific, and the lottery would be open for just 30 minutes.

Just eighteen of each Peek were produced. Entering the lottery is free, and winners would be able to buy their Peek for $100 plus shipping fees.

Winners would have just 15 minutes to claim their Peek. If they missed their window, additional winners would be selected to take their spot. Hill’s Peeks series is extremely popular, and the limited numbers mean that every available Peek sells out quite quickly.

Brad Hill Peeks Art Resells

As you can probably guess, the words “extremely popular”, “limited numbers” and “sells out quickly” are green flags for resellers. Hill has been producing Peeks for quite a while now, and we’ve seen them resell for considerable profits.

If you want a baseline, many of Hill’s Peeks resell for more than double what they sell for from his website, with some of the more popular designs flipping for $400, $500, even $600 at a time.

This latest lottery only closed yesterday and we haven’t seen any sales — yet. With how strong the collector interest is for Brad Hill’s Peeks series, we’re expecting these new Mega Man and Toad Peeks to start reselling very soon.
