Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3 + 4 is almost here. To celebrate, the legendary skater teamed up with his favorite fast food brand for an exclusive Taco Bell Tuesday Drop. Super-limited “Salsa Verde” skateboards were given out to Taco Bell app users completely free of charge. Even better, the first fifteen users to redeem their reward would receive a deck signed by Tony Hawk himself. To absolutely no one’s surprise, these are already reselling for triple digit profits. Let’s take a look.

Who would’ve thought eating sawdust and lard could be your ticket to hundreds of dollars in profit? First, let’s cover the basics. Every week, Taco Bell holds their “Tuesday Drops“, giving away free meals, merch, or even bigger prizes exclusively through the app.

They’ve partnered with Tony Hawk as a promotion for the upcoming THPS 3 + 4 remake releasing next month. Tons of in-game items will be releasing through the app starting in July, but they’ve kicked the celebration off with something truly special.

On June 24, Taco Bell gave away 500 custom “Salsa Verde” skateboard decks. These match an identical virtual deck featured in the game, made to resemble one of Taco Bell’s salsa packets.

And it doesn’t end there. While there were only 500 decks, the first fifteen users to claim theirs would receive a skateboard autographed by Tony Hawk himself.

Remember, these were free. If you can’t see the potential value in snagging one these decks, you might be beyond our help. In any case, these decks disappeared fast from Taco Bell’s app. We don’t know how many users attempted to grab one, but they didn’t last more than a minute.

Unsurprisingly, it didn’t take very long to see these decks reappear on eBay. As of this publication, most sellers are asking around $500 for theirs.

And we can only see one confirmed sale. An unsigned Tony Hawk Taco Bell Skateboard sold for $250 on Tuesday. As you can see, this is a presale listing, so it’s possible the seller doesn’t even have a board to sell.

We might need to wait a few days to see how the market will shake out for these boards, but $200 to $400 seems reasonable for standard boards. With only fifteen signed boards out there it might take some time for any listings to emerge.
