Revenge and Juice WRLD collaborated in 2018 to produce a clothing line
None of the clothes restocked after the initial drop, and rose in price
In May 2023, Revenge dropped a surprise restock of the entire 2018 collection
Fans of Juice WRLD received a welcome surprise recently when Revenge restocked a small run of 2018 merchandise. A variety of clothes were sold through Revenge’s webstore, including hoodies, tees, shorts, and hats. One of these was the Juice WRLD Revenge “Bee” Hoodie, which was one of the most popular products from the original release. Understandably, the entire collection sold out very fast, and the clothes are now reselling.
Revenge is a streetwear brand founded in 2016 that has been closely associated with the rapper XXXTentacion. The label has nearly half a million Instagram followers, and remains very popular with fans of the artist and inside streetwear circles.
In 2018, Revenge did a series of collaborations with Juice WRLD. These included a variety of designs, mostly featuring remixed versions of the Revenge logo. This came right after the release of Juice WRLD’s debut album, “Goodbye and Good Riddance”, so hype around the artist was strong.
Included in the drop was a variety of different clothing. Hoodies, graphic tees, booty shorts, you get the picture. One of the most popular designs was black hoodie featuring a distinct red bee design, and the slogan “A Friend Is Nothing But A Known Enemy”.
Angst aside, this hoodie and much of the rest of the drop was well received. After selling out, these would go on to become highly collectible, and would frequently resell for hundreds.
After Juice WRLD’s death in 2019, prices for items for the collection sharply rose. These have continued to trade around in streetwear circles for significantly more than they retailed for. In the years since the initial release, Revenge has never even hinted at a potential restock.
Until now.
On May 25, 2023, Revenge put out an Instagram post featuring unreleased pictures of Juice WRLD from their original photoshoot, and promised a “surprise” was on its way. The post marked exactly five years and two days since the release of “Goodbye and Good Riddance” in 2018.
Three days later, a link was sent out via Revenge’s newsletter. Subscribers had the opportunity to access the drop two hours before the public. The restock included virtually every item first sold in 2018. Buyers had just ten minutes to shop and place an order before their session was terminated.
Depending on the item, clothes from the Revenge Juice WRLD restock cost between $45 and $90, with all hoodies being $90. The original Juice WRLD “Bee” Friend Hoodie was included in this drop as well.
Around an hour after the public release, all stock for the Revenge Juice WRLD restock was pulled and marked as sold out. It’s unknown how many items were loaded or sold. All we can tell is that someone pulled the plug on the sale.
As you can imagine, this kind of surprise restock was a big deal for fans. Many of the items in this collection were quite rare and highly desirable. The restock came out of nowhere and completely mixed up the market.
Since May 28, there have been numerous new listings for the Revenge Juice WRLD Bee hoodies. While sales have yet to come through, the prices are tending to hold at around $300. A little steep sure, but this is likely the last time we will see these hoodies restock (until the 10 year anniversary of GBGR)
