Topps Drops World Series Trading Cards After Dodgers Win

The Dodgers just won their second straight World Series in a dramatic Game 7 comeback last night, and Topps wasted zero time rolling out their championship commemoration set. This 15-card team set dropped within hours of the final out, and includes rare parallels and priceless auto cards from the biggest stars of last night’s win. It’s print-to-order and available until November 7, so you’ve got time to decide.

Hopefully you had a chance to watch last night’s game. In baseball’s first Game 7 since 2019, the Dodgers made a dramatic comeback in the ninth, leaning heavily on veteran players like Miguel Rojas and Kiké Hernández. Fans are already calling it an instant classic.

Topps has dropped a 2025 World Series Champions set featuring all the heroes and clutch moments from the last week, from series MVP Yoshinobu Yamamoto’s dominant performance on the mound, Freddie Freeman’s walk-off from Game 3, and Kiké Hernández’s double play that clinched Game 6.

Every set comes with a guaranteed hit of some kind. The parallels range from unnumbered White parallels all the way up to 1-of-1 Gold FoilFractors. But the real heat here is in the autographs. We’re talking on-card signatures from Ohtani, Betts, Walker Buehler, Tommy Edman, and more, all numbered to 24 or less.

The crown jewel is a 1-of-1 triple autograph featuring the team’s three Japanese aces: Shohei Ohtani, Yoshinobu Yamamoto, and Roki Sasaki. This is where it gets interesting. The 2024 Dodgers World Series set from Topps followed a similar pattern, with base sets initially selling in the $80 to $100 range on eBay before settling. Presale listings for the 2025 set are going up right now, but it’s pointless to speculate value this early.

The real money is in the hits though. Individual Ohtani Autographs from last year’s set are listed between $30,000 and $60,000 right now.

Platform-wise, eBay is your best bet for the base sets and lower-tier parallels. Higher-end autos and 1-of-1s will do better if you can get them authenticated and listed on PWCC or Goldin for their premium auctions.

Keep in mind this is a print-to-order set, meaning Topps will produce however many people order during the November 7 deadline. Print runs won’t be revealed until after the sales window closes, so you won’t know exactly how rare your cards are until then. All sales are final sale only, meaning no refunds if the set doesn’t flip or if you get unlucky with your hit.

The secondary market on these championship sets can be volatile too. If the print run comes back massive (like Ohtani’s 50-50 card that printed 653,000 copies), base sets could drop below retail. You’re banking on demand staying hot and print runs staying reasonable.

For collectors and fans, this is a no-brainer. You’re getting a guaranteed hit commemorating one of the most dramatic World Series in recent memory, featuring the most dominant team in baseball. For pure resellers, the profit margins on base sets are decent but not huge. The real play is volume or getting lucky with your hit.

Hype is obviously very high right now, but the Dodgers have one of the biggest fanbases in baseball. Topps is looking to cash in on the win with an open print run, so understand the risks before making any purchase. Absolutely no refunds will be accepted.
