Today's Supreme X MF DOOM Drop is Looking Juicy

We don’t talk about clothes a whole lot here, but we still like to keep our eyes on upcoming releases. On September 7, Supreme is dropping a special MF DOOM collection online and in person. If you’re a fan of the late artist, this is a chance to pick some up limited edition clothes before they’re gone for good. If you’re a reseller, it’s your chance to make a quick profit by flipping clothes. We’ll also be on the lookout for limited edition Supreme collectibles, which are known to resell.

What's in the Supreme MF DOOM Collection?

Supreme first announced this collaboration on September 5. After MF DOOM’s death in 2020, his estate has authorized various uses of his image and limited product releases, but tomorrow’s drop is looking to be one of the most notable.

The Supreme X MF DOOM collection includes three items: a hoodie, a t-shirt, and a beanie. All are available in several different colorways. The front of the hoodie features a picture of DOOM’s mask and a knife, while the back has liner notes from the record “Doomsday”.

Shirts from the collection have the same design, and the beanies just have MF DOOM’s logo on them. Reception to the collaboration has been somewhat lukewarm, with one highly upvoted comment on MF DOOM’s subreddit saying “Wow these designs fucking suck“.

Fortunately, whether the collection looks good or not doesn’t particularly matter. It’s Supreme, and it’s a limited edition, and it’s a collaboration. People will buy it to have it, regardless of whether they think it looks good. Also, a funny thing happens when people spend a lot of money on clothes, where they suddenly start thinking they’re really cool, actually.

This may also be an opportunity to pick up some unlisted merch. Supreme has a habit of releasing additional parts in a collection that weren’t advertised beforehand. Pins especially are quite popular.

There’s a sizable aftermarket for rare or limited edition Supreme pins, and an MF DOOM Supreme pin would certainly catch their attention. If you go after tomorrow’s drop, make sure to keep an eye out for any pins or otherwise exclusive bits of merch that you think are worth reselling. Streetwear kids love spending money, so you might as well be the one doing the selling.
