Key Points

  • Supreme and Miyabi are teaming up to produce a special chef’s knife

  • The knives are made from high-quality steel and expected to sell for around $400

  • Expect these to sell out and resell after they go live on Thursday

Supreme is back at it with another hyped collaboration. If you love cooking or spending money on stuff with a label, set an alarm for tomorrow. Supreme has teamed up Miyabi to produce a special and very pricey kitchen knife. It’s just the latest drop from a very packed season for Supreme, but people are especially excited for this. Stick around as we take a closer look at these knives, and what we expect them to flip for.

Supreme Miyabi Birchwood Santoku Knives

First, let’s take a look at the players. Miyabi is a subsidiary of the Zwilling family of culinary brands that specializes in Japanese cutlery. Their knives are all handmade in Seki, Japan, and are based on traditional designs. Birchwood-handled knives are some of their most popular and expensive offerings.

Supreme is, well, Supreme. You’re reading a resell blog, so we’re going to assume you have some basic familiarity with the brand. Supreme has been on a tear of collaborations lately, from traditional clothing crossovers to more unusual linkups like this one.

So just what are we getting tomorrow? Well, the Supreme X Miyabi Santoku knife is a 7″ chef’s knife with a Japanese Karelian Birchwood handle. The blade is made from an SG2 steel core with 100 layers of additional steel to create a striking Damascus pattern along the metal.

Probably the most notable feature of the knife is the Supreme logo along the blade. After all, what’s the point in buying a Supreme product if you show off that it is in fact, a Supreme product. The endcap features a logo as well.

Supreme X Miyabi Santoku knives will go up for sale on September 27 as part of Supreme’s Fall/Winter schedule. An exact price has not been released, but we’re anticipating these to start at $400 at the least. Similar Miyabi knives made from comparable materials usually retail for around $350, so a $100-$200 markup isn’t out of the question.

Will Supreme Miyabi Knives Resell?

Yeah, probably. It’s a pretty cool collaboration, and as much as people like to rag on Supreme, their products do tend to move. We can expect these knives to sell out and almost certainly resell.

Their value on the aftermarket will pretty much come down to how many are made. Like we said there aren’t a whole lot of details on these so we don’t know what production is looking like. Less is obviously better. Considering a significant part of Miyabi’s schtick is the handmade nature of these knives, there’s probably not a ton being made.

Supreme Miyabi Knife for Sale

If you’ve got nothing better to do Thursday morning and have some extra cash to spend, consider picking up of these knives. We’re expecting them to be a pretty popular choice for Supreme collectors, and will likely resell at a premium. The holidays are just around the corner, and we can all use a little extra spending money right now.
