This version was produced by Limited Run Games in 2019, and as you can guess, it’s a limited run game. Gezine stated that approximately 10,000 copies were in circulation, but it’s actually less. Per LRG’s official data, a total of 8,500 copies of Star Wars: Racer Revenge were produced for the PS4.

As of this publication, around 40 are listed for sale on eBay. Most of these are hovering around $70 for standard editions and $120 for a collector’s version (there should be no difference for jailbreaking purposes).

So, is this a flip? Our honest thoughts are somewhere between “maybe” and “probably”. Yes, 8,500 copies is not a lot, but divide that against the number of active PS5 jailbreakers, especially if you consider that you can (probably) just resell the disc once you’ve used it for the jailbreak. It’s a small but non-zero-sum market. This is more likely to lead to a short-term spike in values for the game as jailbreakers rush to secure a copy before the code’s public release.

If you spot copies under $30 at local shops, grabbing a few is low-risk speculation. At $70-90 on eBay, you’re buying at inflated prices with limited upside.

The smart play is checking your local game stores this week before word spreads beyond the jailbreak community. Once mainstream gaming news sites pick up the story, prices will stabilize or potentially drop as sellers flood the market trying to capitalize.

Keep a close eye on the communities around PS5 jailbreaking through the dedicated subreddit and forums like GBATemp. Things are moving very quickly and you don’t want to get left behind.

eBay will be your main sales channel. Use accurate titles mentioning “PS5 jailbreak” or “firmware 12.00 exploit” to reach the target audience. The disc code CUSA-03474 is printed directly on the disc, so include a picture.
