Pokemon Prismatic Evolutions Restock Hits Stores

Okay, if you’ve been waiting to cop Prismatic Evolutions products, today’s the day. The most hyped Pokemon TCG set in recent memory hit stores this morning and early sales show serious profit potential across sealed products and individual chase cards. There’s still time to secure packs and make a sale.

Prismatic Evolutions follows the 151 formula where you can’t buy individual booster packs at retail. Every pack comes bundled in special products like Elite Trainer Boxes, Binder Collections, or Poster Collections. This drives up demand since collectors can’t just grab loose packs.

The set features Eevee and all its evolutions as Stellar Tera Pokemon ex cards, plus special reverse holos with either Poke Ball or Master Ball designs etched into the background. It’s the first time Western releases got this treatment, and collectors are going wild for it.

Pokemon Center exclusive Elite Trainer Boxes sold out instantly online and those are already commanding $150-200 on secondary markets. The standard ETBs (with 9 packs instead of 11) are more readily available but moving fast at major retailers like Target, Walmart, and Best Buy.

We’ve been all over the Prismatic Evolutions collection. Since January, resellers have been turning easy profits on the set, and today’s drop is just the latest chapter in a very lucrative book.

Elite Trainer Boxes are the easiest flip right now. At $49.99 retail and $70-90 resale, you’re looking at $20-40 profit per box after eBay’s 13% fees. Not massive margins but volume is there.

Booster packs are where it gets interesting. Since packs aren’t sold individually at retail, the secondary market values them at $12-15 each. ETBs contain 9 packs, meaning the packs alone are worth $108-135 if you crack and sell individually. That’s solid profit over the $50 retail box price, but you’re gambling on not pulling anything noteworthy.

Individual chase cards are printing money for lucky pullers. The Umbreon ex Special Illustration Rare is the holy grail, with raw copies selling from $500-1,600 depending on centering and condition. Clean PSA 10 copies just sold for $5,000, though expect volatility as more graded copies hit the market.

Other notable flips include Glaceon ex, Sylveon ex, and Leafeon ex, all moving in the $50-150 range for special illustration versions.

Target and Walmart received limited allocations, with many stores only getting single-digit quantities of ETBs. Best Buy implemented a reservation system for high-demand items, so check their site for local availability.

GameStop stores report extremely limited stock, and local card shops mostly sold out their allocations through preorders.

Some RC Elite members reported success placing in-store orders at Best Buy even when shelf stock was gone. Store SKUs are worth checking if you’re willing to wait for shipment.

The initial wave today included ETBs, Binder Collections, Poster Collections, and Tech Sticker Collections. But more products are coming throughout 2025:

• Booster Bundles (6 packs) hit March 7

Those later releases give resellers more chances to stock up, but expect similar sell-out speeds and elevated secondary prices.

Most major retailers allow returns within 30 days, reducing your risk if the market crashes. However, Pokemon Center exclusives and some smaller retailers may have stricter return policies.

The Umbreon card price shows major volatility right now. Early sales hit $1,600 but some auctions closed as low as $500. Don’t overpay assuming prices will only go up.

Supply is genuinely limited compared to standard sets, but Pokemon promised additional print runs throughout 2025. If they flood the market, current premiums could evaporate fast.

If you can find retail stock today, grab it. ETBs at $50 are basically guaranteed profit, and the set’s long-term prospects look strong based on Eeveelution popularity and restricted supply.

For individual cards, be cautious with the Umbreon unless you’re pulling it yourself. Paying $1,000+ on day one is risky when more copies will hit the market as people crack packs.

The smart play is sealed products for quick flips or holds, with individual chase cards as bonus profit if you get lucky opening.
