The most anticipated Pokemon TCG set of the year hit stores on January 17th and you’d be lucky to find them still in stock. The Prismatic Evolutions set has been sought after by collectors since set details were first released. We didn’t hesitate to let members know as soon as the Pokemon Center preorders went live, and to expect big things.

There is still supposed to be a Prismatic Evolutions Super Premium Collection, as well as a Premium Figure Collection releasing later this year, but product details have not been released yet.

Prismatic Evolutions Umbreon EX Chase

Like Evolving Skies, this is another Eevee evolutions themed set featuring a very in demand Umbreon EX chase card. According to TCGplayer.com, the Evolving Skies Umbreon VMAX Alternate Art Secret Rare has an open market value of $1600 with PSA 10 slabs selling for a whopping $3000.

In comparison, the just released Prismatic Evolutions Umbreon EX has already recorded sales over $1600 on eBay, but considering how recently the set hit stores we can’t say if this is a fair market price.

Also important to note that there is a lot of volatility around the price of this card at the moment; some sales coming in as low as $500. As with most Pokemon products, we expect the hype to keep prices at peaks for a while before going down, and finally reaching its fair market price later this year.

Pokemon Prismatic Evolutions Long Term Expectations

This set has the makings of one of the most valuable in recent years. Evolving Skies booster packs have been hovering around $20 each since late 2023 and those were available in traditional booster boxes.

Prismatic Evolutions being compared to that set in terms of general interest is a huge tell when trying to predict market price down the road. Whether your plan is to make a quick flip or hold until supply dries up, you’re going to want to grab as much as you can.
