Look out for Valentine's Day Owala Tumblers at Target

Really the only interesting factor is that they aren’t officially listed online, but Target is stocking them on shelves (in pretty good numbers). The hype and mystery around them has Owala collectors frothy.

Owala’s built a following around limited drops and exclusive colorways. Their collaboration bottles regularly flip for 2-3X retail, with some rare editions hitting $100+. The Target-exclusive angle plays into their FOMO strategy that’s worked well for Diet Coke collabs and Urban Outfitters releases.

These new Read My Lips and Out of the Blue Owala tumblers are flipping for upwards of $60, with some sales closing in on $90. At $35 retail the profit is modest, but can quickly stack up when selling in bulk.

The fact these aren’t online yet creates artificial scarcity. Once Target lists them on their website or Owala announces officially, that scarcity disappears and prices will drop. Right now you’re banking on collectors who can’t find them locally and don’t want to wait.

This is a decent volume opportunity if your local Target has stock. The $35 buy-in is low enough that you can grab multiples without serious capital risk. Target’s 90-day return policy provides a safety net if prices tank.

The challenge is predicting supply. If this is just early stocking and Target plans a full rollout, you’ll get burned. If these are actually limited exclusives, margins hold. No official word from Owala or Target yet on whether these are permanent additions or limited drops.

This is a clean double-up opportunity if you’re already at Target and see them in stock. Grab a few, list them same day, and see what hits. The low buy-in and return policy make this low-risk.

Don’t go driving across town hunting for these unless you’re confident in the limited theory. The uncertainty around official availability makes this more speculative than proven flips like confirmed exclusives.
