Melanie Martinez Cry Baby Milk Perfume Restock Sells Out

If you didn’t know, there’s actually not a whole lot of money in making music. Sure, the bands and artists at the top are raking it in, but many musicians struggle to support themselves solely with their art, let alone make a fortune.

The real money is always in merchandising and live shows, and the more control they can retain over their merch, the better.

For the past few years, Melanie Martinez has been crafting bespoke perfumes based on her albums, with a special attention paid to their presentation. In early 2024 we covered her striking Portals perfumes that went on to resell for hundreds.

But before that, Martinez’ first perfume was the Cry Baby Perfume Milk, based on her 2015 breakthrough album of the same name. These were originally released in 2016, accompanied by a promotional video.

Melanie Martinez’ Cry Baby Perfume Milk retailed for $50 at the time. It shipped in unique, collectable packaging and the perfume bottles themselves resembled vintage baby bottles complete with rubber nipples.

These would go on to become extremely valuable collectables. After their release, resellers were flipping them for several hundred dollars over their retail price. By 2022, they had begun to resell for up to $2,000 at a time.

Now they’re back. On August 4, 2025, Melanie Martinez restocked her coveted Cry Baby Perfume Milk through her webstore for $175. This is the first time they’d restocked since 2016, giving fans that missed out the first time a time chance to snag some.

In the end, many of these bottles ended up going to resellers. After seeing the success of Martinez’ second Portals perfume and the continued popularity of her original release, this was an obvious opportunity for anyone paying attention.

Currently, the restocked bottles of Melanie Martinez’ Cry Baby Perfume Milk are reselling for around $500. Sales have been pretty slow, so it’s hard to tell if these were as successful as we were hoping.

Obviously, these are less profitable than the original bottles. Any time a popular product is restocked it’s bound to cool the market off, but resellers that got in on this drop are still scoring profits of more than $300 per bottle. We’ll take that any day of the week.

So, is another restock in the cards? We’re guessing no, but anything is possible at this point. Most fans and resellers had assumed this perfume would never restock again, but the events of this week show that there might be more bottles on the way.

We’ll be keeping our eyes on the market in the next few days. Ideally, we’d like to see more sales and more profit roll in before giving the green light to buying any more bottles.
