NCR Ranger Elite figures will be sold online tomorrow for $60
Exact production numbers are unknown, but we expect them to sell out
Similar Fallout merch and McFarlane toys have resold for double MSRP
If you’ve got empty space on your shelf or in your wallet, we’ve got something worth your attention. McFarlane Toys will be dropping a new Elite figure based on the NCR Ranger from “Fallout: New Vegas”. This is looking like a slam dunk for resellers, as we’ve seen past McFarlane figures and “New Vegas” merch resell for several times over MSRP. We’ll be going over all the details you need to know to secure a profit.
Good news for “Fallout: New Vegas” fans! No, the game isn’t getting a remaster and Todd still hates you, but McFarlane is producing a new figure based on the iconic NCR Ranger.
These will be dropping through multiple retailers tomorrow, July 23. McFarlane is billing them as “Elite” figures, with enhanced articulation, multiple hand variants, accessories, and weapons, along with an Elite price tag of $60.
The figures themselves are objectively dope, and “Fallout” fans are hyped. McFarlane’s previous “Fallout” figures have all been based on characters from the Amazon show, so this gives fans of the actual games a chance to pick up something cool.
The move makes sense, as it’s heavily implied the next season of Amazon’s “Fallout” series will explore New Vegas. While Fallout has been a Bethesda property for years, “Fallout: New Vegas” was separately developed by Obsidian in 2010, and has been regarded as one of the best RPGs ever made.
Good question. “Fallout: New Vegas” fans have been eager to show their support in the past, and we’ve covered products like NCR Ranger helmets and Pip-Boy Replicas that have flipped for hundreds of dollars over retail.
Here’s hoping tomorrow’s sale will be just as profitable. As an Elite figure, McFarlane has listed a higher MSRP of $60 compared to $40 for their standard figures. This number reflects the additional detail and increased scarcity.
And we can confirm that there’s plenty of consumer interest in McFarlane Elite figures. Their recent design for “DOOM: The Dark Ages” retailed at $60 and is regularly reselling for up to $120.
“Fallout: New Vegas” might be fifteen years old, but it’s built an enduring community of fans that continue to support and buy merch for the game into the present day. With the official series giving a nod to the game later this year, it’s never been a better time to be a “New Vegas” fan.
Hopefully that excitement will translate into eBay sales. McFarlane has not officially confirmed a release time or list of retailers for tomorrow’s drop. We’ll be keeping our eyes out, but some sleuthing might be required to get an early product link.
