Key Points

  • Little kids sizes retailed for $55 and sold out quickly across most colorways

  • Current resale prices on eBay range from $100 to $250 depending on size and style

  • The Old Skool V and Classic Slip-On in little kids sizing are seeing the strongest demand

Sit back sneakerheads, this one isn’t for you. Vans worked with Netflix to produce a limited edition collaboration for the hit show KPOP Demon Hunters, with shoes sized for both adults and kids. Surprisingly, the kids sizes have absolutely taken off online, and resellers are securing triple digit profits on size 1 and 2 shoes. Let’s take a closer look.

KPOP Demon Hunters Vans Collection

When Netflix dropped KPOP Demon Hunters back in June, nobody expected it would become the streaming giant’s most-watched animated film ever. The movie follows fictional K-pop group HUNTR/X (Rumi, Mira, and Zoey) as they balance stadium tours with secretly fighting demons. The soundtrack went absolutely insane, putting four songs simultaneously in Billboard’s Hot 100 Top 10, with “Golden” hitting number one. Over 7 billion global streams later, the film’s still dominating months after release.

So when Vans announced a collaboration featuring the movie’s characters across their classic silhouettes, the hype was real. The collection dropped in-store December 5th and online December 8th, featuring everything from Classic Slip-Ons to Sk8-His across adult and kids sizing. Prices ranged from $45 to $85 retail, with the little kids sizes hitting at $55.

Adult sizes are still available on Vans.com at retail in most styles. The market’s speaking pretty clearly here. Parents trying to make Christmas morning magical are willing to pay the markup, while adult collectors can wait for potential restocks or hit outlet stores later.

Limited quantities on kids sizes always create opportunity. Vans likely produced fewer units in little kids sizing compared to adult runs, and when a movie pulls 7 billion streams with a fanbase that includes tons of elementary schoolers, that inventory disappears quick.

The little kids Old Skool V featuring HUNTR/X graphics in purple is moving between $150 and $200 on eBay, with some sizes pushing $250. The Classic Slip-On with Derpy Tiger (the supernatural cat sidekick) is flipping in the $100 to $175 range. Big kids sizes are doing decent business too, sitting around $100 to $150, but the real money is in those smaller sizes that parents waited too long to cop.

Platform-wise, eBay’s got the most activity right now. StockX hasn’t picked these up yet (they typically don’t move on kids sneakers as aggressively), so resellers are sticking with the tried-and-true eBay route where the buyer pool includes desperate parents refreshing their searches daily.

This isn’t your typical sneaker collab hype. KPOP Demon Hunters hit different because it’s not just collectors driving demand. You’ve got kids who genuinely love these characters, asking their parents for the shoes constantly. When a six-year-old wants the Rumi, Mira, and Zoey shoes specifically, parents can’t just substitute another pair of Vans.

The timing matters too. December drop means these are Christmas gifts, and parents who slept on the release are now facing the reality of either paying resale or disappointing their kid. That urgency drives prices up fast. Compare this to a summer drop where parents might wait for restocks.

Bottom Line

If you copped little kids sizes at retail, you’re looking at $45 to $150 profit per pair after eBay’s 13% fees. That’s solid for a sub-$60 investment. The Old Skool V in popular sizes is your best bet for maximizing returns right now.

Keep in mind Vans offers 30-day returns on unworn shoes, so retail risk is relatively low if you want to test the market. But as we get deeper into December, that return window shrinks for getting your money back before the holiday if these don’t move.
