Flappy Bird all over again
100 bottles of Heinz’ Every Sauce will be given away today
This flavor has not been released in stores yet
We’re expecting these to resell for a significant amount
You have just a few hours left to enter Heinz UK’s contest. 100 lucky winners will be walking away with a bottle of Heinz “Every Sauce”: fourteen different flavors blended into one beige condiment. You’ll need to answer a few questions, and technically the contest is only open to UK residents, but the upshot is that these bottles will likely be very popular on eBay. Here’s what you need to know.
Ok, picture this. It’s burger time, you’ve just taken the patties off the grill, and are ready to shuffle everything together into the perfect meal. Let’s leave toppings and cheese choices aside for now, and focus on the condiments.
Do you start with mayo? What about mustard and ketchup? Maybe you prefer something more exotic; barbecue sauce, sriracha, relish, perhaps even truffle-infused sauces.
Making choices is hard. If you prefer your food to be closer to a drink than a meal, having enough sauce to keep up with your urges can be a Herculean effort. Fortunately, Heinz has stepped in and taken away the burden of choice. Behold, Heinz’ “Every Sauce”.
This is a blend of Heinz’ most popular condiments. We can’t speak for the flavor profile, but the color is the distinct beige of a freshly repainted office.
According to the label and Heinz own website, there are fourteen different flavors used to create the Every Sauce. They are:
Three different types of ketchup and four mayo variants? It probably doesn’t taste bad, just… overwhelming? Still, it’s a solid choice for anyone looking to drown out those pesky flavors with a deluge of MSG and artificial ingredients.
If the idea of a one-size-fits-all bottle of sauce in your fridge sounds tempting, we have some bad news. Heinz will not be selling “Every Sauce” in stores, at least not any time soon.
In fact, the only way to snag a bottle is through a contest hosted through Heinz UK’s website. You have just a few hours left to enter, and winners will be selected later today. Here’s how it works:
Head to Heinz UK’s site, and enter the drawing here. You’ll need to answer four questions that judge how “obsauced” you are (make sure to pick the most exagerrated, over-the-top answers), and provide a name and address.
Now, according to the contest’s rules, it’s only open to UK residents. However, you can still enter a US address in the drawing. Heinz says they will only deliver prizes to a UK address, so you may need to get a reshipper if you manage to win.
So, is it worth entering? Well, with only 100 bottles and a lot of consumer interest, we’re guessing Heinz Every Sauce will be a lucrative flip. We’ve covered previous condiments that have resold, and in the past we’ve seen them flip for $50 to $100 at a time.
If that sounds good enough to you, why not enter? Winners will receive their bottles free of charge, including shipping fees. If it ends up being a flip, that’s free money for five minutes of clicking. That sounds like a nice deal to us.
