Eminem dropped an anniversary collection for the Marshall Mathers LP
Most items started around $50, with some signed items selling for $1,000
Resellers are flipping the vinyl and signed pieces for up to 2x retail prices
Where does the time go? This week marked the 25th anniversary of Eminem’s Marshall Mathers LP. To celebrate, the artist dropped a new collection of merch through his webstore. This included exclusive vinyl, new clothes, and a replica track listing with Eminem’s signature. Many of these products sold out within minutes of listing, and it didn’t take long for them to reappear on eBay for inflated prices. Let’s get into it.
When was the last time you did something nice for that special unc in your life? Eminem’s got the perfect merch for anyone whose best years were 1998 to 2005.
It’s been 25 years since the release of the Marshall Mathers LP, and a whole host of new merch just dropped on Eminem’s website. This continues an anniversary trend the artist (or at least his team) has been following the past few years, with anniversary releases for Kamikaze and Slim Shady dropping at regular intervals.
The Marshall Mathers 25th Anniversary collection includes exclusive new “marble” vinyl, tons of clothes, collectable street signs, and a framed replica tracklist with Eminem’s signature. These items dropped on May 22, and most sold out fast.
Prices would start at around $50 for clothes and vinyl, and up to $1,000 for some of the signed collectibles. Steep, sure, but Eminem has never had much trouble moving merch, and even the priciest items would sell out the fastest.
And it’s not surprising to see many of the most coveted items reappear on eBay at a significant markup. We’ve seen several parts of Eminem’s Marshall Mathers 25th Anniversary collection resell over the last few days.
Some of the most popular products are the Marshall Mathers LP Marble vinyl which is going for around $80, while the signed tracklist and street signs have flipped for $1,400 to over $2,000.
That’s a potential profit of over $1,000 if you managed to snag some of the most popular items from the collection. That might not have been easy, sure, but well worth the attempt.
