Costco has started stocking decorations for Halloween 2024, so it’s time to make a trip. New Light-Up Mickey Jack-o-Lanterns are looking like the current hot product. These are stocking at Costco locations across the country, and now is the best time to start loading up on product. Popular Halloween decorations like these can resell for hundreds of dollars closer to the holiday. Here’s what you need to know.

Summer is the ideal time to buy Halloween decorations. Costco is a great place to start, with plenty of new products hitting shelves right now. One of these is a light-up plastic Jack-o-Lantern made to look like Mickey Mouse.

Ever heard of Disney adults? Aside from their dogs, The Office, and not having sex, their favorite thing in the entire world is Halloween. When Disney characters and Halloween cross over, expect to see lots of sold out products and TikTok meltdowns.

Believe us, we know. Last year we covered the Hot Topic-exclusive Candy Corn Cardigans that resold for up to $200, and every year tickets for Oogie Boogie Bash at Disneyland sell out and flip for three to four times retail.

Point being, there’s a lot of potential here. You’re still very early to the party, and Halloween decorations like these will be easy to buy for the next few months. It’s only as we close in on the holiday itself that things start selling out and people get desperate.

Costco Mickey Jack-o-Lanterns Resell

Let’s go over some quick details first. Costco Mickey Jack-o-Lanterns are available in most stores right now for $90. They’re just under two feet tall, and light up and play music when turned on.

These are already picking up attention on social media, and some stores have sold out. They are currently not available for delivery or purchase online, so you might have to do some hunting.

But we think it’s worth it. Every year, popular Halloween decorations sell out and flip for well over what they retailed for. In years past we covered items like decorative skeletons from Tractor Supply Co. and Home Depot’s massive 13 foot tall animatronic Jack Skellington.

These props netted resellers up to $300 in profit at a time. Now is the time to buy, before the seasonal rush hits. If these end up going viral close to Halloween, you can expect to flip them for easy money all through October.

And if they don’t, remember that Costco has a pretty generous return policy. They offer full refunds on most items, including seasonal decorations like these. If these Jack-o-Lanterns don’t end up reselling, you can return them to any Costco Warehouse, although we recommend you don’t take them all back at once.
